Maryland's Bastardy Sun states that the recent decision by Judge Duffy, in the Criminal court, declaring the Maryland bastardy law unconstitutional, aa discriminating between white and colored women will not be taken to the court of appeals, the Stage's law officers of Baltimore being satisfied with the decision, which applifeo to Baltimore only. Several State's attorneys in the counties of Maryland have written to the State's attorney of that city in reference to the matter, asking that the case be taken up to the Court of Appeals, in order that the question may be settled for the whole State. Mr.

Edgar Gans, deputy State's attorney, conferred with some of the justices of the Court of Appeals about ihe matter on Thursday, but it will not be possible to appeal the case decided by Judge Duffy, for the reason that an appeal must be taken immediately after the rendition of the decision to be appealed from. It Closes After Four Successful Nights--The Receipts. The last night of the Oiange Festival at Junior Hal), under the auspices of the ladies of the Reformed church, this city, wa 1 fully JIB suo- cessful as was expected and equally as largely attended as on Thursday evening. Wilcoxon, as we were informed by one of the assistants. One of the young ladies who took a veiy attractive part in the tableau entitled, "Three Fishers," was Miss Minnie Baker. We neglected to mention her name yesterday. The coffee rued at the festival was kindly "supplied by Mr. Frank B.

A Sad, Sarcastic Slap--The i i zens of Frederick in general and the Messrs.
