skinheads a court has been told The two were among a group of five Arab businessmen attacked outside South Ealing tube station by a gang intent on Mr Jeffrey Pegden prosecuting told Acton Crown Court The attack was over in minutes but at the end two of the Arabs lay unconscious he said The court heard that the skinheads had been returning from a pub in North London There were several witnesses some of whom had been on a train with the skinheads and told the court of a lot of noise swearing and shouting from the group The noise continued as the gang all wearing large boots with bleached jeans and skinhead hair cuts came out of the station and started to walk down South Ealing Road said counsel One or two of them then spotted the group of Arabs including a father and two sons about to cross on a zebra crossing The gang ran across the road and surrounded them The Arabs were kicked and punched and two of them left on the ground One who managed to get away and hide for two hours nearby before judging it was safe to emerge was company director Mr Kumar Jyodindra 39 then living in South Ealing Road He told the court that he had visitors that night and they decided to go in search of an Arab restaurant When the gang attacked was hit on the head and knocked over Then I was kicked in the back Those accused are John White 19 unemployed of Chestnut Grove South Ealing Peter 1 8 bicycle mechanic of Gunnersbury Lane Acton Adrian Leahy 18 post boy of Cherry Close Ealing Tony Carney 22 labourer of North Kensington and Michael Boswell 23 roofer of Osborne Road Acton They the tube services will be normal on Christmas Eve but in the evening many stations will close early District Line trains will be suspended between Turnham Green and Richmond after 9 1 5 pm and after 1037 pm Hammersmith and City trains on the Metropolitan line will not call at Paddington All Underground stations will be closed on Christmas Day and on Boxing Day trains in the Ealing area will run every 20 or 30 minutes But Central Line services for West Acton and Ealing Broadway will not be running and Perivale station will be shut Also District Line stations Ravenscourt Park Stamford Brook and Chiswick Park will be closed On the Piccadilly Line closed stations are: South Ealing North Ealing Park Royal and Sudbury Hill British Rail is not running trains either on Christmas Day or Boxing
