F. LITTLE, PC bec last was the day on wnich the "Boys in Blue" held their Mass meeting in this place. They began to arrive early in the lay, some delegations bearing aloft the old flag under which they had won immortal renown, ind one, the Leitersburg delegation, brought with it a tine band, which euteitained our citizens at intervals during the day with some the soul stiriug airs which gieeted our eurs ao frequently during the of the rebellion. I'lie attendance was large, and the meeting exceedingly harmonious in ils They seemed to have brought with them the order and discipline which they learned during their military experience, and we doubt whether any body of men ot equal miuibcit a ever assembled in this county, equaled them in that particular. They were oi-deilj lud attentive to the and clischarg- the business for which they came together a manner which would serve as a modle for some legislative bodies we have seen.

Thirty years hence when the surviving members of this organization come together, they will be greeted by the citizens ordermg on veneration. There will however, many vacant chairs; many who returned "rom the fields of their glory with their honors icsh upon them will not be there, but those who linger behind can pay a just tribute to their memory by recounting their deeds of valor.
