Tuscaloosa' WDBB-TV is among 79 independent stations that have reached broadcast agreements with the new Fox Broadcasting Co FBC is best known as the network for which Joan River left her lucrative position as Johnny Carson’s guest host on NBC ‘Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” Miss Rivers signed a three-year 83 milium contract with FBC to star in her own late night talk show “The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers” Fox has announced that it has reached affiliate agreements with 79 independent stations including WDBB (which broadcasts from Tuscaloosa but maintains an office in Birmingham) and WPMI-TV in Mobile The agreement provides Fox with nearly 80 percent coverage of US television households FBC programming will begin in October with Miss Rivers' show David DuBose general manager for WDBB-TV Channel 17 said Tuesday the station is “very excited" about its new relationship with Fox Broadcasting Co "It's a great fresh service for many station across the country Joan Rivers has an
