In 1963, Mr. Bione, two other area businessmen and former Gov. Otto Kerner made an overseas trade mission to Europe to meet importers, distributors, sales representatives, and manufacturers.

Two brothers, Angelo and John, and a sister, Vigia Ap-pino, preceded him in death. Survivors are his wife, Dorothy; three sons, Donald and Ramon, both of Christopher, and Angelo Jr. of Chicago; a sister, Margaret Harrison of Christopher; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St.

Andrew's Catholic Church in Angelo A. Bione, 66, a former member of the Rend Lake Conservancy District Board, and Christopher businessman, died at 10:15 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978, in St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville.

Mr. Bione, who lived at 306 N. Emma Christopher, had been hospitalized for two weeks. He was born Aug. 19, 1911, in Christopher to Guido and Margherita Bione.

He was president of Bione Truck Service in Christopher. He retired from active participation in the business three years ago. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Christopher Lions Club for more than 30 years, Christo- pher Chamber of Commerce, and the Southern Illinois, board of directors. He was an agent for the Centralia Cartage and was a distributor of all metropolitan newspapers in the Christopher area for many coming Lillian M.

Russell dies Cecil M. Jones Cecil May Jones, 69, of 802 E. Illinois Carterville, died at 12:15 a.m. today, Jan. 20, 1978, in her home.

Funeral services are pending at the Riggin -Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville. Margaret Strop Funeral services for Margaret L. Strop, 80, of 1909 E. Elm West Frankfort, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort.

Burial will be in the Lori-mier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Strop died Thursday morning, Jan.

19, 1978, in the Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born Aug. 2, 1897, in Scott County, to John and Lillian McDowell Hudson. She was married to Oscar B. Strop.

He died July 21, 1968. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in West Frankfort. Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death. Survivors are a daughter, Lillian Picton of Peoria; two brothers, Clemson Hudson of Brooklyn, and Jefferson Hudson of Bridgeton, a sister, Dollie Hudson of Webster Groves, two grandsons and one great-grandson. Charles Serena Charles Serena, 75, of 1116 S.

14th Herrin, was pronounced dead on arrival at 2:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978, in Herrin Hospital. Death was due to natural causes. Mr.

Serena was a retired coal miner and a member of United Mine Workers of America Local 8317. He was born Nov. 3, 1902, in Herrin to Pete and Nora Swatsell Serena. He was married to Estella Marshall in Marion, April 4, 1923. She died Jan.

26, 1976. He was a member of the Second Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens, both in Herrin. Survivors are three daughters, Eugenia Hutchison and Eleanor Quaglia, both of Herrin, and Romilda Hundley of Oak Forest; a son, Wendell of Herrin; a brother, George, also of Herrin; nine grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, in Johnson's Funeral Home in Herrin.

Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, south of Energy. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Steven M. Gearhart Steven Maynard Gearhart, 28, of Manhattan, died at 1:45 a.m.

Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978, as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident in the Manhattan Township. Mr. Gearhart was a correctional officer at the Stateville Prison in Joliet. He was a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a master's degree in psychology.

He was born Oct. 1, 1949, in Anna, to Frank and Ethel Gearhart. Survivors include his parents of Peotone; two sisters, Karen Zaffino of Manhattan and Coleen Gearhart of Man-teno; four nieces; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Sarah Gearhart of Murphysboro; and a maternal grandmother, Ethel High of Anna. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Walker Funeral Home in Alto Pass.

Burial will be in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funera home. Alice Smith Funeral services for Alice Smith, 69, of 404 S. Russell Marion, will be at 1:30 p.m.

Sunday in the Wilson Funeral Home of Marion. Burial will be in Mapl-ewood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Mrs.

Smith died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1978, in the Marion Memorial Hospital. She was born on Jan: 7, 1909, in Herrin to Albert and Betty Maul Draper. She was married to vvuiie bmitn Boise, Idaho, on July 3, 1952.

Survivors are her husband and a brother, Earl Draper of Grisham, Ore. Mrs. Nobel was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church of Pomona. She was born Jan. 10, 1894, in Pomona, to Melvin and Ellen Smith.

She was married Oct. 29, 1911, in Murphysboro, to Harry E. Nobel. Survivors include a son, Riley of Murphysboro; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Fuller of Pomona and Mrs.

Glenn Hickam of Murphysboro; a half sister, Mae Norton of Murphysboro; five grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in Pomona. Burial will be in the Jerusalem Cemetery in Pomona.

Killion, 58, of Route 1, Chester, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1978, at his home, after a brief illness. Mr. Killion was the owner and operator of the Killion B-K Restaurant in Steeleville. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Chester. He was born Sept. 7, 1919, in Willisville, to Mark and Florence Galbraith Killion. He was married May 16, 1953, in Bremen, to Geneva Eggemeyer Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmie of Hart-sville, and John of Chester; and one brother, Mark of Gary, Ind. One brother and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Schroeder Funeral Chapel in Chester. Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

9, 1884, in Murphysboro, to Enos and Amelia Misker Bellm. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Burke of Herrin and Lillian Borgs-miller of Murphysboro. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Denny and Pettet Funeral Home in Murphysboro. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro.

Willa F. Hake Willa F. Hake, 58, of 703 Moore Nashville, died at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978, at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville.

She was a member of the Ladies' Guild, Washington County Home Extension and Washington County Hospital Auxiliary. She was a receptionist for Dr. Eugene Gewe, a Nashville optometrist. She was born May 15, 1919, in Marissa, to John and Florence Calbert McGough. She married Lester Hake Dec.

29, 1940. He survives. Mr. Hake has been a teacher at the Nashville Community High School for more than 30 years. Other survivors include three sons, James of Trenton, N.J., Ronald of Peoria and Charles of Nashville; three sisters, Ina Hamilton of Washington, Ada Church of Kimberling City, Mo.

Alfred J. Harre Alfred J. Harre, 79, of 400 W. Elm Nashville, died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan.

19, 1978, at the Washington County Hospital in Nashville. He was a farmer and member of the Lutheran. Layman's League. He also was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville and the Senior Bible Class of the church and of the Washington County Farm Bureau. He was born Dec.

16, 1898, in Nashville Township, to Henry and Emma Wernecke Harre. He married Edna Masch-hoff March 27, 1921, in Nashville. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Victor of Nashville and Alfred J. Jr.

of Okawville; three brothers, Edward and Adolph, both of Nashville, and Elmer of Portland, Ore. nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Nashville. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Garfield Marion, Thursday was appointed by Judge John Clayton as a probation officer in the Williamson County probation department. Forth is currently enrolled at Southern Illinois Univer-sity-Carbondale in the admin-istration of justice department. Forth completes the probation department staff. Other members are Director Elmer Farmer and Stephen Aschieris of Marion. Forth's salary is $11,000 yearly.

19, 1978, in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, after a long illness. He was born Jug. 26, 1891, in Murphysboro, to Tobias and Lula Glasser Berger. He was married Jan.

14, 1915, in Pinckneyville, to Mary Ann Bantel. Mr. Berger was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Murphysboro. He was a retired coal miner, and also retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Willard of Lake Worth, and Howard of Du Quoin; two daughters, Rose Marie Dirler of Du Quoin and Eleanor Ann Wilson of Murphysboro; eight grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Lillie Venegoni of Murphysboro.

Four brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Denny and Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with burial in Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and until services Sunday.

Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to the First Lutheran Church of Murphysboro. Mae Beatrice Jones Mae Beatrice Jones, 83, of 309 W. Jackson Carbondale, died at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 1978, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale and of the Circle Three Club of the church. She was born Jan. 27, 1894, in St. Louis, to Edward B. and Mae Bailey Eckhard.

She married William H. Jones in May 1922 in Carbondale. He died Nov. 2, 1965. Survivors include a cousin, Eugene Bustard of Chamblee, and a niece, Ruth Carol Buffington of Jackson, Miss.

After cremation in Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Satur- day in the Oakland Cemetery uaroonaaie. io visuauon is planned. The Huffman Funeral Home in Carbondale is in charge of the arrangements.

Delmar, a daughter Wednesday at Marshall Browning Hospital, Du Quoin. Lillian M. Russell, 81, a former Democratic Precinct Committeman in Colp, died at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978, in her home.

Mrs. Russell was a retired social worker for the Illinois Department of Public Aid. She was born Oct. 25, 1896, in Coal Creek, to Will and Alice Johnson Spears. She first was married to Homer Kelley in 1915.

He preceded her in death. She then was married to Dan Watson in 1923, in Dewmaine. He also preceded her in death. She then was married to Hubert Russell in 1934, in Colp. He also preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Schaffer AME Church in Colp Robert Pinski Robert Pinski, 85, of Route 3, Nashville, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 1978, at Washington County Hospital, Nashville, after a long illness. Mr. Pinski was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Po-sen. He was born Aug.

22, 1892, in Posen, to Michael and Mary Pinski. He was married in 1914 at Posen to Frances Schubert, who preceded him in death. Survivors include four sons, Edward, Leo and Floyd, all of St. Louis, and Arthur of Nashville; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sons, Joseph and Richard, one sister and four brothers, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Saturday at Pyatt Funeral Home in Nashville.

The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Jennie L. Rausch Jennie L. Rausch, of 602 S.

James Carbondale, formerly of Waukegan, died at 2:05 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 1978, at the Jackson County Nursing Home in Murphysboro. She attended Oberlin College in Ohio. She was a member of the Waukegan Garden Club and the Waukegan Woman's Club.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Waukegan, where she was a deacon and member of the Women's Association. She was a church organist in both Peru, and Waukegan. She was born in Peru, to William H. and Nora Sharp Long. She married Karl F.

Rausch; he died in 1948. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles M. Pulley of Carbondale and Mrs. Allen P.

Saunders of Waukegan; four grandchildren and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Waukegan. Burial will be in the Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. No local visitation is planned.

The Huffman Funeral Home in Carbondale is in charge of the local arrangements. The family requests no flowers.
