Lois Morgan and Paul Humph reys both of Elkville were married last week in the Baptist parsonage by the Rv. E. K. Wall. The couple will make their home on a farm east of town.

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jackson entertained relatives from Fort Dodge Iowa, Marissa and supper guests in their home one nii-iht last week. i Mr. and Mrs.

William Carter and children, Laphanis Rose and Bil-lie, Mr. and Mrs. Wilburt Clark and daughter, Susan, all of Halli-dayboro, Mr, and Mrs. Neal Underwood, Mr. and Mrs.

Bill Underwood attended a New Years party Saturday evening in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harrcll Carter. Mr. and Mrs.

Carl Leek spent Monday in Hallidayboro in the home of their son, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Leek. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Milford Morgan is ill. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reese entertained relatives from De Soto in their home New Years Day. Mr.

and Mrs. Waldo Brown of Benton spent Sunday with her tors in the Valarius home were mother, Mrs. Jennie Berry, also her Mr. and Mrs. Jake Kimmel of brother and family, Mr.

and MrsChester and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jack Berry and daughters. Mrs. Wynona Martie is on the sick list this week.

Mr. and Mrs Joe Barrenkamp and daughter of Marked Tree, have been spending the holidays in Elkville with her parents, Mr. and left Thursday and Charles Satur day to visit with other firends. and Mrs. Charles Leuhr, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Ernsting. A happy time was had by all.

Mr. and. Mrs. Ed Brumleve departed Saturday morning for their home in Seattle, Washington, wher he has employment and she is attending school. She is studying for a Laboratory Technician.

A boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Condon Monday. The oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Richard Brueggeman was taken to the Chester Hospital with pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. William Rabe and family visited with their daughter near Campbell Hill Monday, Mr. and Mrs.

Homer Leuhr and family. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Momberger attended the funeral of Mrs. Mom-berger's uncle, Mr.

P. Ervin in Oakland City, Indiana Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. H.

D. Oliver and daughter Joan of St. Louis, former residents of Percy, have moved to El Paso, Texas where he is em ployed. Mr. and Mrs.

John Hoops spent the holidays with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hoops and baby daughter in St. Louis and with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs.

Ivan Cheatham and sons in Muncie, Indiana. Mrs. Minnie Little spent the holidays in Cape Girardeau, Mo. with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs.

Dwight Little. Mrs. Clemens Meyerhoff attend ed the funeral of her uncle, Wm. Prange in Wine Hill last Wednesday. Mrs.

The arrangement of the rostrum required a number of changes in the way it was orignaily presented and called for considerable ingenuity, However a large corwd attended and enjoyed it without noticing the unintentional omission of some lines, and some mistakes. The table cloth needed in one scene was missing so a line was added, "I couldn't find it, Mumsy." A luminous ghost face and luminous hand and tombstone lent a really ghostly atmosphere to those scenes. They expect to produce another in the near future. George Lickiss and Mrs. Hattie Underwood went to St.

Louis Thur day to see their doctor. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Ora Underwood and family of Steele- ville, who went shopping. Mr.
