shotgun causing a severe laceration and concussion The law enforcement officials who were searching for four black youths who fled the scene of Harp's death then left Logan's residence the suit says leaving Logan on the floor injured Logan has been an amputee since September 1972 The only named defendant in the suit is James Hawk a Homewood police officer The other six defendants' names are unknown according to the suit Logan was first awakened about 12:30 am on the morning after the Harp shooting but by the time he was able to get into his wheelchair and open the door no one was there the suit says One-half-hour later the defendants returned and demanded that the door be opened the suit says without announcing themselves to be police officers At that point Logan pulled his shotgun from a bureau and sat with the gun resting on his leg and pointed toward the ceiling according to the suit The officers broke down the door and ordered Logan to put down his gun but "because of his
