Pallbearers will be Lynell Flowers, Tommie Brown, Freeman Brown, David Lewis, Jonathan Brown and James Pinkney. Foster's Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

A native of Cherokee County, he was a son of the late Beaure-guard and Hester Quinn Martin, member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church and retired from Sunny Slope Farms.

Also surviving are two sons, Gene Martin of Gaffney and Albert Martin of Cowpens; one daughter, Dorothy Wright of Gaffney; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Revs. Stuart Kersey and C.E. Hampton with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
