Surviving are a son, Marshall Larry Horton and wife, Melba, of Gaffney; two daughters, Karen Bolton and husband, Roy, of Blacksburg and Annette Evans and husband, Mike, of Gaffney, two brothers, die Rev. Henry Guyton of Gaffney and Aaron Guyton also of Gaffney; seven sisters, Louise Phillips, Dorothy Burgess, Bonnie Martin, Beu-lah Hughey, Betty Jo Blanton, Sally Sisk, all of Gaffney, and Nancy Spence of Clover, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Horton was preceded in death by a son, Blaine Timothy Horton; a daughter, Veronica Lou Horton; and a grandson, Jeffrey Scott Bolton. Army veteran Joe Brown, 59, of 103 Quint Courts, passed away. Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at 7:35 a.m. in Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Son of the late Floyd Brown and the late Carrie Haney Brown, he was a native of Cherokee County and a U.S.
