MONDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2002 Pageant winner Sarah Elizabeth Martin, 2-year-old daughter of Robert and Angela Martin, was crowned 2003 Little Miss Tiny Tot Cherokee County on Auk 16 in Fullerton Auditorium. She also won awards for portfolio and prettiest eyes. She competed the following two weekends in Myrtle Heath and Charlotte, where she placed first in beauty at both and won awards for best dressed, most beautiful and Most Beautiful Dream Doll. ' I GafFneyites graduate from PLA program SPARTANBURG - Eleven women recently graduated from the Professional Legal Assistants program at Converse College. Paula S. Hig-gins and Bridget April Roach of Gaffney were among those completing the program and participating in the commencement. The PLA course prepares persons to be paralegals. Converse College offers the two-year certificate program through the division of Continuing Education. The classes are held in the evenings and are open to men and women. The curriculum includes a require ment of 13 legal specialty and sjx general education courses. In addition, all graduates are required to complete a 40 -hour internship in a law office and to pass an English and computer proficiency test. Legal courses include: civil litigation, real estate and title examination, torts, contracts, probate, and family, business, administrative, and criminal law.
