Paul Howard Gunn Jr. of Simpsonville; one sister, Joyce Johnson of Blacksburg; three brothers, David Gunn and Charles Gunn, both of Blacksburg, and Jesse Gunn of Gaffney; and one grandchild. Services were held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Cannon Paul Gunn Sr. SIMPSONVILLE Paul Howard Gunn 64, husband of Zenobia "Cookie" Gunn, of 202 Beechwood died Saturday, May 22, 1999, at his home.

A native of Rock Hill, he was the son of the late Jesse Alber-tos and Delia Rippie Gunn. He was the owner and operator of GGN Landscaping and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Becknell 78, of 281 Lincoln died Monday, May 24, 1999, at his home after a long illness. A native of Grover, he was the husband of Lathelma Tow-ery Becknell and son of the late George F. Becknell and Bessie Hardin Becknell. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corp in Italy and after discharge attended Duke University in Durham, N.C.

He received a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and after completing his internshfp at Jersey City Medical Center, he opened his medical practice in Rutherford County on July 2, 1952. Dr. Becknell was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Forest City where he was a former chairman of the pastorparish committee, a former member of the Administrative Board and was instrumental fri acquiring a Zimmer organ for the church. He served on the Board of Directors of Spartanburg Day School. Also surviving are his children, Allison Becknell Willis of Asheville, N.C, Leslie Becknell Droogmans of Atlanta, and George F.

Becknell, 111., of Chattanooga, one brother, Gerald "Buddy" Becknell of Forest City, N.C; four sisters, Louise Becknell Baines and Ruby Becknell Holland, both of Gaffney, Dorothy Becknell Martin of Dallas, N.C, and Pearl Becknell Day of Gastonia, N.C. Services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church with the Revs. Lynn Blankinsh Caldwell and J. Oscar Dowdle officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Padgett King Mortuary, Forest City, N.C Lonnie Tate Lonnie "Jack" Tate, 94, of Byrnes Medical Center, Columbia, died Sunday, May 23, 1999. A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Mose Tate and the late Lizzie Roberts Tate. He was a member of the former Piney Grove Methodist Church and a retired plumber. Survivors include one daughter, Beadie Mae Guyton Gregory of Gaffney; and one sister, Mozell Tate of Gastonia, N.C.

The family may be contacted at the home of his niece, Annie "Belle Hopper, 103 Oakland Gaffney. Foster Funeral Home is in charge. Henry Castles Graveside services for Henry Pressley Castles, 74, of 1645 Ellis Ferry were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery conducted by Mr. Ashby Blakely.

Pallbearers were members of the military honors team. Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home was in charge. Daisy Parker Daisy Alexander Parker, 79, of 315 Sycamore died today, May 26, 1999, at Brookview Healthcare Center. A ntaive of Cherokee County, she was the widow of Freeman Parker and daughter of the late Judson and Alice Hammett Alexander. She was a retired textile employee and member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include four daughters, Freddie Carter, Carolyn Parker, Dianne Griffin and Martha Parker, all of Gaffney; one son, Kenneth Wayne Parker of Gaffney; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A native of Lancaster, she was the wife of Rev. Ron Jackson and daughter of Marion and Nonie Gladden Baker of Great Falls. She was a homemaker and a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church. She was a former first -vice president of the S.C. Baptist Wives Auxiliary and formerly served on the Board of Trustees of Charleston Southern Univer-, -sity.

Also surviving are one daughter, Kim Mullinax of Inman; one on, Bryan Jackson of the home; pne sister, Maxine Baker of 'Great Falls; and two grandchil-'dren. Services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at East Gaffney Baptist Church with Dr. Denley Caugh-man and the Rev. Mike Jackson officiating.

Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Inman. Honorary pallbearers will be former and current deacons and wives and pastors and wives. Visitation will be held in the fellowship hall after the services. The family is at the residence.

Nellie Cody Nellie Moss Cody, 86, of Lowry's Road, died Tuesday, May 25, 1999, at White Oak Estates, Spartanburg.

A native of Cherokee County, T-she was the widow of Robert Cody Sr. and daughter of late John Wesley Walter and Lillie Bright Moss. She was a retired textile and member of Elm Street Church of God. Survivors include one daughter, Gaynell Donald of Spartan-pburg; four sons, Robert L. Cody C-'Jr.

of Xenia, Ohio, Odell A. Cody and Leonard B. Cody, both of York, and Teddy Walter r'Dean Cody of Gaffney; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great---grandchildren. Services will be held Friday 'at 4 p.m. at Shuford-Hatcher with Dr.
