Mr. W. A. Glymansdied yester day afternoon at 3:30 o'eloek at the residence of his brother, A. A.

Clymana aad family, with whom he made his home. lie had been confined to bis bed for some time and had been quite low for about a week. Mr Clymana waa one ot the pion eer citizens of Bevier and was well known all over the country. lie had been closely identified with oar city and its interests all through the years and had been prominent aad active in iU affairs, lie waa highly esteemed and his death is deeply regretted, and the bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the community. heavily" afflicted.

Messrs Ellis and Lewis sr warm friends of many years standing and are delighted to meet with each other on this occasion. Mrs. Martin Rafter and little daughter of Coal Hill, Arkansas, came here during the past week and are the guests of the former's mother-in-law, Mrs. John Rafter and other relatives. Two Deaths In Simons' Family Last Week. A most heavy harden of sorrow and affliotion baa been laid upon Mr and Mrs Jane Bimans during the past week, two of their little ones having been taken from their arms by the Death Angel in less than three days.

Wednesday night August 2, at 9:25 o'clock, their little sonjliarry, aged 3 years, 1 month and 9 days, died of ao attack of flux, and was buried Friday afternoon. Saturday morning, Augut 5, at 9 :30 o'clock their infant daughter Celia, aged 4 months and 1G days, died of the same disease, and was buried Sunday afternoon. Rev. H. M.

Evans conducted the services in both fnnerals aud the remains of the little ones were laid to rest in the Bevier cam Mrs. Simons 'and some of the other children were also sick and all of our people deeply sympathize with the sorrow stricken and afflicted family in their double bereavement. The Missouri Louisiana rail load Co. is now arranging to have the round houss of the company here instead of as now at Excello. We learn that a survey has been made for the aite of the proposed new building which will be located near the switch going south from the main road west of town.

Dr. Green. President of Wil- liam Jewell College, Liberty, kas accepted an invitation to be present and preach the dedication sermon.

Christopher James and wife who had been spending about ten daya at Brookfield with their daughter, Mrs W. M. Ward and family, re-turned home Monday. Mrs James improved a little in health daring her etay at Brookfield but is still quit tick and weak. While at Brookfield aha received a very kind aad sympathetic letter from the Bevier First Baptist Ladies Aid Society of wkka aha to a mock esteemed member aad aba greatly ap preciatee the kiedaese and love of tfir drier which prompted them fb write her.

The ar rangemeiits were excellent in ev ry way and a large gathering of people tamed out to enjoy the opportunity for social intercourse and to patronize the affair. The result was highly satisfactory to the ladies, the proceeds being a bout $51.
