TALLAHASSEE la Oct 19 (UPJ The lorida supreme court ruled today that segregation in the public schools is not constitutional but gave school officials several months in which to prepare for the mixed the United States succeeded in having the deadlocked Security Council race between the Philippines and Yu goslavia postponed while elections were held for the Economic and Social Council and the trusteeship council On Economic Board Yugoslavia only today agreed to become a Security Council candi date But the East European nation had campaigned actively for a seat in the Economic and So cial Security Council which it won today United Nations tradition is against a nation holding seats on two of the three top UN councils Therefore election to the Economic and Social Coun cil was expected to bring greater support to the United States backed Philippines in the Security Council The voting in the General As sembly began shortly after 3 today Australia and Brazil were elected to the Security Council as non permanent members last But the assembly was deadlocked at first in an attempt to name either the Philippines or Yugoslavia to the third seat which becomes vacant the end of this year The assembly cast three incon clusive ballots today with the Philippines and Yugoslavia sup ported by Russia and Britain as the candidates The Philippines led Yugoslavia on all three ballots truck loaded with aluminum sheet roared down a long grade on Route 40 and slammed into a dump truck and an automobile in the heavily populated suburb of La Vale The runaway tractor trailer caught the dump truck and the automobile from behifid The driver of the dump truck was decapitated apparently by a sheet of aluminum that slid from the runaway tractor trailer The other four victims died in the flaming wreckage of the car Paul Myers 25 Dover Pa driver of the tractor trailer walked away from the wreck with only minor injuries Myers said his brakes gave way as he was driving down Big Savage murder of three young boys who were strangled and their nude bodies dumped in a forest "preserve found near the spot where the boys were last seen Sunday night They had been wearing blue jeans In the basement of a bowling alley which the boys had visited Sunday night police also found evidence of what appeared to be blood stains Lohman said six 7r seven per sons have been questioned includ ing teen agers and adults but there were' no definite suspects among them Appearing to strengthen the teen age theory was an earlier report of motorist Malone that he saw two rod cars parked a few feet revealed in Reno yesterday Ted Jones of Seattle regarded as the top designer of racing boats and creator of the famed Slo Mo Miss Thriftway Rebel Suh and many others of the leading unlimited class hydroplanes has been in the area for a short stopover on his way back to Seattle after watching the new Miss Thrift way through her paces in the Cup races at Washington Jones yesterday indicated a nation wide racing circuit has been' established for the big unlimited hydroplanes with Lake Tahoe the central stop on a three race Western circuit In addition Pyramid Lake now is being mentioned as a potential site for launching trials at world boat speed records Lake Tahoe already is host each year to the Mile High Regatta feature run of which is the Mapes Gold Cup for the unlimited hydros And now Jones says plans are well on the way to being jeljed to make the Tahoeraces middle point in a Western circuit to include famed Lake Washington at Seattle and Lake' Mead in Southern Nevada The West
