The grand jury is again in session, after a few days' vacation, and the re cent episode in which John Griffey, the Boone township farmer, was involved is under investigation.

It. will be re membered that the farmer made a sale of cattle amounting to about $360 to Arch Dunlap, of Elwood, for which he has not received his money. Following this sale Griffey launched on a spree with Oscar Lee and Arthur Cox, also Of Elwood, and the trio made a spectacular trip to Chicago which cost him in the neighborhood of $800. When he became sufficiently sober to realize who and where he was, Griffey was in Anderson, and the stubs in his checkbook showed that he had issued checks for approximately $800, and had nothing to show for the money. The grand jury has taken up the affair to see what there is in it.
