m. OBITUARIES IN GREATER PITTSTON MRS. PETER KOCZKODAN DEATH CLAIMS PORT BLANCHARD, DIES PHILIP BRADY Death claimed Mrs. Peter (Kozden) Koczkodan of 27 Jennings street, Port Blanchard, on Saturday at Pittston Hospital where she had been a patient one week. Born in Mammoth, she was the former Anna Zarencyn, and was a member of St.

Joseph's Church, Port Griffith, the Third Order of St. Francis, Altar and Rosary Society and the Polish Roman Catholic Union of America. Surviving are her husband, Peter, and the following children: Mrs. J. B.

Zolfo, Brooklyn, N.Y.; Frank Kozden, Manville, N. Thomas, New York City; Andrew. Swoyerville; Mrs. Patrick DiGiovine, Old Forge; Mrs. Pauline DeMark, and Edward, at home; sister, Catherine, Poland, and 12 grandchildren.

The funeral was held on Wednesday from the family home followed by a requiem mass in St. Joseph's Church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Philip A. Brady of 88 East Frothingham street, succumbed on Sunday morning in Pittston Hospital, where he was admitted two days earlier for medical treatment.

Born in Sebastopol, he was a son of the late John and Isabelle Moran Brady, and was a life long resident of this community. He was a retired mine worker, baving worked for number of years at No. 11 shaft of Pennsylvania Coal Company. Deceased was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and its Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hannah Kane; son, Edward, at home; sisters, Mrs. Sadie Judge, Pittston; Mrs. lian Curran, Wilkes-Barre and several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held from the John B. Burns Funeral Home, 18 Kennedy street, on Wednesday followed by a requiem mass in St.

John the Evangel st Church. Interment was in the parish cemetery. The funeral was held in Stratford with mass in Holy Name of Jesus Church. FORMER RESIDENT DIES Mrs. Thomas Waters, the former Hattie Davis, of this city, passed away on Tuesday of last week at the home of her son, Thomas at Troy, N.Y.

The funeral was held on Friday. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Davis, the family home having been on Railroad street. Mrs.

Davis left this community a number of years ago, following the death of her husband who worked at Coxton. In addition to her son, Thomas she is survived by another son, Robert and 3 granddaughters, all of Troy, N. Y. FALLS RESIDENT PASSED AWAY Mrs. Gordon Benedict, 77, of RD 1, Falls, passed away at her home on Sunday evening following a lengthy illness.

Born in Lockville, January 10, 1884, she was the former Kalista Fitch, daughter of the late George Judson and Rosetta Heitsman Fitch and lived at Falls, the greater part of her life. She was a member of Lockville Methdist Church. Surviving are her husband, Gordon; daughters, Mrs. Jason Winters, at home; Mrs. John Otscavich, Ashley; sister, Mrs.

Dan Dymond, Lockville; seven grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon from the Harold E. Howell Funeral Home, Wyoming avenue, West Pittston, with Rev. Ken Vanderpool of Church of. Christ in Harding, officiating.

died Sunday afternoon in Pittston Hospital, wher he was admitted on March 17 as a medical patient. A native of Italy, he was a son of the late Arcangelo and Rosaria Restuccia Pupa. and came to Amerioa at the age of 9 settling in Cork Lane where he since resided. Prior to his retirement in 1943, he worked at No. Colliery and also served as auditor of Pittston 'an Township for six years.

Deceased was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and its Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, the former Domenica Starna; sons, Frank (Chick), Cork Lane; Ralph, Old Boston Settlement; Anthony and Joseph, Oceanside, Long Island, N.P.; William, Hughestown; Benjamin, at home; daughters. Mrs. James Black and Mrs. Thomas Edwards, Bound Brook, N.J.; Mrs.

James Dauria, Newark, N.J.; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brothers, Anthony, Pittston; Joseph and William, Cork Lane; Benjamin, Macon, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Restuccia, Nutley, N.J. The funeral was held this morning from the funeral home at 251 William street, followed by a requiem mass in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment was in the Denison Cemetery, Forty Fort. MRS.

FREDERICK REPP INTERRED TUESDAY The funeral of Mrs. Frederick T. Repp, 322 Spring street, West Pittston, who passed away on Saturday in Pittston Hospital, was held Tuesday afternoon at 2 from the Warren E. Strubeck Funeral Home, 211 Luzerne avenue, West Pittston, with Rev. Mickael Klinoff, of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Interment was in West Pittston Cemetery. Deceased was the former Charlotte Perrin, daughter of the late Charles and Euphemia Symington Perrin and was a life resident of West Pittston, where she was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Repp was past regent of the Dial Rock Chapter, DAR, and for many years served as historian. She was also a member of Pittston YMCA Auxiliary and was past president of the Ladies Aid Society, Her husband, Frederick, passed away, November 20, 1960.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Carl Jenkins, North Wandel, Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Glen Jones, West Pittston; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Buy, Burn, Boost, Anthracite Rev. Ruth L.

Spencer of RD 3 Wyoming, died Saturday Mercy Hospital, Wilkes Barre, where he was admitted two days previous as a medical patient. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 from the funeral home at 170 Wyoming avenue, Wyoming, with Rev. William Reid, officiating.

Interment was in Eaton Cemetery, Orange. Born April 18, 1889, deceased was a son of the late Gertrude Phillip and Abner J. Spencer. He was a charter member of Wyoming Hose Company No. 2.

Surviving are his. wife, the former Keziah Lloyd; sister, Mrs. Guy Howell, Wyoming. and a brother, William, Plainfield, N. J.

EXETER RESIDENT BURIED ON MONDAY The funeral of Louis Pazdziorko of 217 Orchard street, Exeter, was held Monday morning from the family home followed by a requiem mass at 9:30 in St. John's Polish Church, Exeter. Interment was in the parish cemetery. Mr. Pazdziorko passed away on Friday at his home after a short illness.

A native of Poland, he migrated to this country 50 years ago and first lived in Hilldale, Plains Township. He moved to Exeter 40 years ago. Prior to his retirement 10 years ago, he was employed at Dial Rock Coal Company, Exeter. He was a member of Local 9985, UMWA, and St. John's Polish Church of Exeter.

Roberts, of 253 Marcy street, Duryea, passed away in Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton on Sunday after a brief illness. A native of Wales, he lived in Warrior Run and Old Forge as a boy. He moved to Duryea in 1922 and lived there ever since.

He was employed by the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad before his retirement and had been an attendant officer for Duryea School District. He was a member and treasurer of Black Diamond Hose Company, Duryea, and a member of Redmen Lodge of Old Forge. Deceased was a charter member of Nebo Congregational Church, Old Forge. Surviving are his daughters, Margaret, at home; Letitia, RN, Scranton; sons, Wesley, a major with the Air Force Reserve; John, teacher and coach at Hughestown High School, and Raymond, all of Duryea; Milton, New York City; sisters, Mrs. Jennie Nyhart, Duryea; Mrs.

Blodwen LeVan, West Pittston, and 19 grandchildren. The funeral was held Wednesday 'afternoon at from the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Duryea. Rev. Robent Baer officiated. Interment was in Washburn Street Cemetery, Scranton..
