80 mph chase last October 21 has appealed a municipal court drunken driving conviction Viney 27 of 1290 Haddock Drive pleaded guilty to reckless driving shortly after his arrest and was fined $100 But he staunchly be ing intoxicated at the time Rep resented by Attorney Samuel Bull he went on trial Tuesday afternoon before Judge Kirby Uns worth Judge Unsworth listened to witnesses called by Bull and by Assistant City Attorney Roy Torvinen then opined that Viney was guilty as charged and should pay a $250 fine and lose bis license for 30 days The decision was immediately appealed to district court Viney was required to post a $500 ap peal bond pending the hearing in the higher court BAR PLANS HALTED Plans for the construction of a bar at Sixth St and Valley Road have been cancelled the city council announced Monday night It was reported that Jo seph Bosetti who sought a bar license for this location had withdrawn his application in the face of strenuous opposition from the residents of the area Renoites ace Burglary Charge Two Reno men who looted a car parked on ourth St Tuesday night have been charged with first degree burglary Police identified the men as Howard Collett 46 of 427 Evans Ave and John Hollow 39 of 1325 ourth St They allegedly looted a car owned by John Christian Christian accompanied by Irma Johnson 717 Spokane St caught the men rummaging through papers that had Virginia St Recommended A letter to the city council from the Reno Traffic Safety Council requested that action be taken to make South Virginia a limited parking street Elmo Granata chairman of the
