Nevada State Journal Saturday March 26 1966 15 '4jr Dear Abby Change Docs By Abigail Van Buren DEAR ABBY: or the past five months I have been taking shots and pills for my nerves During my last visit to the doc tor he said treatments seem to be helping you I think I know what you need You need to let yourself Then he suggested I seek ro mance outside my marriage and he added And I could make myself Abby I was so stunned I nearly faint ed He is a very handsome middle aged family man and one of the most highly respect ed doctors in town I don't want to cause him any trouble If I suddenly changed doctors my husband would get suspicious because I had so much confi dence in this doctor And if my husband ever found out what the doctor said to me go looking for him with a club Is there any way I can con tinue seeing this doctor and keep him in line? WITHHOLD MY NAME DEAR WITHHOLD: If the doctor told you that his treat ments seem to be helping you what more valid reason do you need for changing doctors? If you were genuinely insulted by the doctor's unprofessional behavior you'd have walked out quit him at once and re ported him to the county medi cal society I advise you to quit him If you then face it unconsciously fasci nated by him and wish to con tinue the relationship knowing full well what to expect DEAR ABBY: I am the moth er of three daughters ages 11 13 and 15 These girls are driv ing me crazy! There is never a peaceful minute in this house They are always fighting When they were small they were con stantly at each throats but I thought they would get along better when they got old er Well gotten worse not better We have done ev erything to teach them love and respect for each other but failed My husband still insists they will this hatred they seem to have for one another Will they? If so when? GOING CRAZY DEAR GOING Be patient Giris between 11 and 15 are gen erally stubborn selfish and moody They will become more reasonable and considerate of each other when they mature Unfortunately by that time be ready to leave home Sorry Mother but why should it be any different at your house? DEAR ABBY What does a woman do when her husband has been out of the service for 20 years and still talks about his Navy experiences? I was a good listener in the beginning but after 20 years I am all worn out Do all men who were in the service relive their ser vice days with every breath they take? Now Abby ad vise me to suggest that he re enlist too old Besides even it they would take him I think I could stand to lis ten to any new Navy epi sodes EAR WHIPPED DEAR EAR WHIPPED: You should be glad your husband has had service days experi ences he can talk about those quiet ones who just sit back and smile whose wives have something to complain about Problems?
