Holt Chattanooga Tenn com mander in chief of the Veterans of oreign Wars of the United States He will be honored at Elko home of the present state commander Announcement of the contem plated visit of the national com mander was made today by the national offices of the VW at Kansas City Mo Hugh I Rossolo Elko com mander for the state of Nevada announced that former state com mander John Gammick Elko is chairman for the national offi visit to the state Gammick presently is the 17th District national council member which comprises the states of Nevada California and Oregon Steve Hernandez and Bert Jones are in charge of decorations and attend ance Commander Holt will arrive byUnited Air Lines at Elko at where he will be rhet by city and county officials departmentofficers and members of the post and auxiliary Holt will hold an "informal discussion with depart ment officers post commanders VW members at 2 pm in Oreanna Room of the Ranch inn 1 At 7 pm in the lounge of theCommercial Hotel a banquet will be held in honor Post andauxiliary members throughout the state have bee ninvited to at tend The charge for the banquet Is $250 per person Gammick an nounced that there would be March 22 will be retained by the contractors Manager Dick Toothman of the hotel said They will take everything including the bricks with the exception of money from the slot machines which is still Area SEATTLE (UP) A represent ative of Ely Nev testified at a Civil Aeronautics Board hearing that he did not favor Southwest airline serving the city until the firm begins operating pressurized aircraft Hapy Karst said that because of the height planes serving the area must fly pressurized cabins were necessary Karst acknowl edged that Southwest had ordered pressurized aircraft but said that fact did not mean they would be used if the airline were to operate out of Ely Karst said United Airlines had served Ely since 1955 with equipment but was schedule flying only one round trip daily He
