Malcolm Patterson Armstrong, which was solemnized Saturday evening at 7:00 o'clock at the L. E. S. Church hare with Bishop Leonard P. Ottley of Carlin officiating.

Attendants of the bride were her sister, Clyde Kershner of Mountain City, matron of honor, and Miss Elaine Symes of Salt Lake City, bridesmaid. Mr. Warren Scott of Mountain City was best man. As Mrs. Daniel A.

Getz played the Lohengrin Wedding March, the bride entered the church on the arm of her father. Mrs Getz sang Promise Me" as the wedding party approached the altar. The bridal gown, made in Renaissance fashion, was of white embroidered sheer silk with a bodice of brocaded satin. It was worn with a floor legnth veil falling from a cap of seed pearls. The bride earned a white ebony prayer book, a gift from her father, and a shower bouquet of white sweet peas, pom-pom chrysanthemums and bouvardia.

Reno Cootiettes Select Delegates There was a special meeting of Cootiette Club No. 31 of Reno last Monday night when election of delegates to the national convention to be held hi Los Angeles the last week in August, and applications of new members were acted upon. The Cooties have invited the Cootiettes to attend a get-together at Carson for initiation of new members there Saturday night. The delegates elected to the convention are Mrs. Irene Starr and Mrs.

The Carson fire department was called to the home of Postmaster Ernest Bath about 8 a. m. Tuesday to put out a fire on their back porch. At 11 o'clock they were called again to put out a brush fire near the Pozzi garage. Mrs.

James McElroy and granddaughter of Spar.ks spent a short time in Carson Tuesday visiting at the home of Mrs. Mary Macdonald. Tahoe Vacation Enjoyed by Pair Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coffin of Berkeley are spending a vacation at Carnelian Bay and they are accompanied by their son, Harry.

Mrs. Coffin will be remembered here as Miss Jane O'Sullivan. Before their return to their home, they will come to Reno to visit Miss Katherine Reigelhuth and Mr. and Mrs. Alton Glass.

Mr. Coffin is a brother of Mrs. Glass, and both he and his wife formerly attended the University of Nevada. HOME FROM VACATION Mr. and Mrs.

Alton Glass and two children, Alton and Bobbie, have returned from Santa Monica, where they spent their vacation. CARSON CITY, July and Mrs. Jack Theix have announced the recent marriage of their daughter, Miss Stella Theix, to Jay R. Waite. Mr.

and Mrs. Waite are now on their honeymoon, which will include a visit to Mr. Waite's parents in the southern part of Nevada. They will spend some time in Los Angeles and other parts of California. On their return they will reside in Lovelock, where Mr.

Waite will continue his work with the Nevada state highway department. Mrs. Waite, one of Carson City's popular young ladies, is a graduate of the Carson City schools, and has resided in Carson practically all her life. Former Students At U. N.

Married Cards have been received in Reno announcing the marriage Miss Wanne Pryor and Mr. Blaini Oakey, the ceremony having been performed in Las Vegas on Jun 29. Both Mr. and Mrs. Oakey are former students at the Umversitj of Nevada and she was a popula member of Delta Delta Delta sor onty and his fraternity was Ph Sigma Kappa.

She is the daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Pryo of Carlin, Nevada.

Mr. and Mrs. Oakey are makin; their home in Caliente, where bot are employed by the soil conserva tion service. Visit in Reno Mr. Jake Wagner and Mrs.

A. F. Biale. Word has been received here of the marriage of Mr. Lewis L.

Via of Ely, son of Mrs. Elmer Rosevear of Eureka, to Miss Ruth Gaizer of Yakima, Wash on July 13 in Ely. The Rev. James Huntley performed the ceremony. The witnesses were Miss Frances Ahlers, a cousin, and Mr.

John Barich, a friend of the bridegroom. Others present at the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rosevear and Tom Pastormo of Eureka and Mr. and Mrs.

Jerry Mahoney of Ely. After the ceremony Mr. and Mrs Jerry Mahoney served refreshments at their home. Later in the day Mr. and Mrs.

Elmer Rosevear gave a dinner at the Crystal Cafe in honor of the young couple. Mr. and Mrs Via are residing at the Swallow ranch near Ely. Tuesday evening Mrs. J.

anct Mrs. Fred Day, vho celebrated their fiftieth wed- ing anniversary. Members of pioneer families, wth have been closely identified vith the growth and interests of Carson City. Mr. pay, son of the late Josiah and Araletta Day, was born in Carson City and for many years the family resided at the Day ranch near this city.

Mr. Day, a painter by trade is still working it his profession. Mrs. Day, a native of Knoxville, 111, came west with her mother, late Mrs. Gertrude Thomson, 1873.

They were married by Rev. George R. Davis, pastor of the episcopal Church, in the house in which they now reside. Two sons were born to them, Charles Dean of this city and George Irwin Day, now superin tendent of the Libby-McNeil canneries at Walla Walla, Wash. During the evening' many friends gathered at the Swart home to extend their best wishes to the couple.

Cake and punch were served. They received many lovely gifts. Program Closes School Sessions GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY FETED TONOPAH, July 24--(Special) --The closing program of the vacation church school of the Presbyterian church was held Friday evening, concluding a week of instruction. Forty-two children were enrolled in the classes and an interesting program was presented. A display of craft work completed by the students also was shown.

Miss Mildred Hillis of Bishop and Miss Evelyn Smith of Berkeley conducted the classes. club A birthday gift was presented to Mrs. Rebaleati by the club. When scores were tallied Mrs. Tom Kelley held high score Refreshments were served to W.

Willis. She is granddaughter of Mr. Willis. Mrs. Jud Dakin and daughter, Miss Denise.

Thomas Bourke. Mrs. Art Sowle conducted the business meeting. A social hour was enjoyed and refreshments were served to Mesdames Harry Cremer, Warren Leonard, Art Sowle, Milo Herstme, Hugh Brautigan and the hostess, Mrs. Tom Bourke.

A picnic supper was enjoyed at Farad Tuesday evening by Hart family. Those who motored to Farad were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hart, Mr. and Mrs.

Glenn Hart and Baun, and Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Hart. Mr. and Mrs.

J. J. Sbragia returned from a trip to Oregon, where they enjoyed a vacation. Mr. and Mrs.

A. A. Hadler, daughter. Evelyn, and son, Arthur, are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs.

J. J. Jackson in Sparks. They are enroute to their home in Sacramento after a trip to New York City where they enjoyed the world's fair. They also visited points of interest in Canada.
