20-year-old daughter Tammy Sue alive Thursday she related the events of Saturday June SO 1979 and the next three days that ended with Miss body being found about 4 am on a highway across Alamance County from her home Mrs Aldridge was the first witness in the trial of Paul Anthony Teague 23 on charges of kidnaping rape and murder of Tammy Sue Aldridge The state began presenting evidence Thursday morning in the trial in Alamance Superior Court following three days con-' sumed selecting a jury to hear the case Mrs Aldridge said her daughter was at home on break from her studies at Central Piedmont tors put a tap and a recorder on theAldri phone in hopes that she would call again She did on Monday about 10 pm -I 'Again she said' she was all right but couldn't tell her mother where she was Mrs Aldridge testified said she was being treated love you Tell daddy I love i- him I love all of Tammy No one spoke to the family ex-: cept Tammy Aldridge when the two calls were received and there was never any mention of ransom It was a little over six years later before there was an arrest in the case The defense lawyers said they i had received immunity from fi eral authorities The state denied they have been given immunity Teague has no criminal record the defense told the jury in winding up its opening statement and is no physical evidence whatsoever connecting Paul Teague to this Rewards totaling $11000 have been offered for an arrest and conviction in the case but no one has made any claim for it to date Qualls testified Qualls will be recalled to the worried She called around the neigh-- borhood asking if anyone had seen her along the route she usu- ally took when jogging No one had ana Mrs Aldridge telephoned the Alamance County Department about 5 pm to report her missing A search with a bloodhound ended after the dog tracked to a 1 spot on Hie dirt portion of nearby stopped Barnwell Road and just i according to testimony from LL Daniel
