MARY ELIZABETH BRIDWELL, Society Editor Office Phone 39; Residence 60 Jane Speece Will Marry Petty Officer December 17 Mary Jane speece and Mrs. Robert L.

Speece, Fairview, have anthe engagement and approaching marriage of their Mary Jane, to Bruce Carlisle Edenton, Jackson, the late Mr. Edenton. wedding will take place on Friday night, December First Methodist church at Fairview. and Mrs. Speece will give a wedding reception at the Hotel following the ceremony.

Miss Speece, who has lived at Fairview since. birth, is a graduate of the Fairview High School. She attended William Woods college for girls at Fulton, and was a member of the school's acapella choir Last May she was graduated from the University of Oklahoma school of fine arts and school of education with a bachelor of science degree. She was a member of the girls' glee club and mixed chorus. Her sorority is Delta Delta Delta and she was a member of Kilpatrick club honorary educational society.

Her picture appears in the 1943 Sooner, University yearbook, as the year's beauty queen. Both the maternal and paternal grandparents of the brideelect were among the state's pioneer settlers. Mr. Edenton is stationed at the Norman Naval base. He attended the Riverside Military academy at Gainsville, and the University of Virginia where he was affiliated with Alpha Tau Omega, social fraternity.

He is a graduate of the Babson Institute ofB usiness. Administration at Boston, Mass. Before entering the navy he was in the wholesale grocery business at Jackson. Following their marriage the couple will reside at Norman while Mr. Edenton is stationed at that naval base.

Young, Marker Vows Mr. and Mrs. Elmer A. Young of Fairview Oklahoma, announce the marriage of their daughter, Violet Mae Young, to Wayne Lee Marker, son of Mr. and Mrs.

Willard Marker of Rosston, Oklahoma. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lela Gordon in the Friends parsonage at Alva, Okla homa, November 26, 1943. Mrs. Marker is a Senior 01 Fairview High school and plans to continue her school year here.

Mr. Marker is attending school in Alva where he will continue until his induction into the -service. HARMONY H. D. CLUB The Harmony Club met Nov.

26 with Mrs. Tracy Combs. Five members were present and one visitor, Mrs. Richtor. Roll call was on First Aid hints.

Some very good ones were given. Hostess demonstration was a handy and safe place to keep medicine. Mystery package was won by Mrs. Florence Smith. Game prize was won by Mrs.

Florence Smith. Refreshments were served of sandwiches, coffee, fruit salad and cake. We adjourned to meet with Mrs. Ruby Cravens Dec. 23.

Hale. Mabel Rhodes guessed the mystery package. Hazel Williams got the drawing. Mrs. Parker sent pot holders for several of the members.

Mrs. Scoggins and Mrs. Morrison got pal gifts. Each one took Mrs. Wilson a pot holder and May Wilson got a going away gift.

Sandwiches, cake and coffee were served to the following: Mesdames Mollett, Scoggins, Emrick, Rhodes, Hoyte, Williams Kile, and Harter and Mary Wilson and visitors May Wilson, Carelin Wilson, Keith and Jerry Williams. Every one had a good time visiting an dsewing. A. CLUB The N. R. Club met at the Red Cross room for. an all-day meeting, 1, with Dorothy Warkentine as hostess.

There were seventeen members present and 260 kits were filled." During the business meeting it was voted to hold election 01 officers the first meeting in January. The penny draw was won by Louesa Specht, and Dora Belle Young guessed the mystery package. The next meeting will be Dec. 15, 2 p. with gift exchange.

Dora Belle Young and Margaret as hostesses. P. N. G. CLUB The Past Noble Grand Club met at the home of Georgia Lowell, on Tuesday evening, November 23, 1943, with 7 members and two visitors present.

The evening was spent in regular business of the club, and various games and contests. Making of kits was discussed. Refreshments of jello, wafers, pickles and coffee was served to following present: Nina Vore, Fay Harder, Hazel Williars, Bess Apple, Minnie Hagerman, Bessie LaDow, Nettie Lowell, Jerry Williams and the host- ess. Club to meet again on December 14th, 1943 at Mrs. Nettie Martin's.

These facts will be revealed on Tuesday night of December 14th when parents of the Scouts, Scouters and Scout executives, and all interested in Scouting will be guests of the Scouts at a covered dish dinner and rally meeting. Plans are under supervision of the local Scoutmaster, J. Thomas Segroves. The guest of honor will be the Regional Scout Executive Kelly DeBusk, of Enid.
