Miss Agnes V. White COWPENS Miss Agnes V. White, 69, of Route 1, Box 805, died Thursday at her residence. A native of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Mary Curshedy White. She was retired from Oxford Manufacturing and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints.

Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Katie Pansy Martin of Cow-pens, Mrs. Rosie Shehan of Pacolet, Mrs. Georgia Matthews of San Jose, Calif. six brothers, D.L.

White of Kings Mountain, N.C., Claude White of Elizabethtown, Woodrow White of Shrieveport, Melvin, Walter and Henry White of Cowpens; and several nieces Lee (Tad) Parker Lee I Tad I Parker, 42, of Route 4. Goucher community, died Thursday night. A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of Ms. Zona Lee Parker Phillips of Gaffney. He was a construction helper and member of Goucher Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held Saturday 11 a.m. in White Rose Cemetery in Pacolet with Rev. Ray Long officiating. The body will remain at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home where the family will meet friends tonight from 7-8 p.m. The family is at the residence on Route 4.

William J. MacArthur Jr. Graveside services for William Joseph MacArthur 46, of 1631 Laural Knoxville, were conducted 3 p.m. today at Oakland Cemetery by the Rev. Leon Newton.

A Cherokee County native, he lived in Knoxville for 18 years. He was the Son of Sara Nesbit and William Joseph McArthurSr. of Gaffney and member of St. John Episcopal Church. He was head of McClung Historical Collection, Knoxville County Library.

Surviving with his parents are two daughters, Miss Annie Ross MacArthur and Miss Sara Nesbit MacArthur of Knoxville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McClung Historical Collection. Surviving are five sons, Nelson, Ernest, Edwin Boots and Joe Harrington of Gaffney, Max Harrington of Aiken; two daughters, Mozelle Johnson of Gaffney, Mrs. Sybil Bowen of Apex, N.C.; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Jones of Gaffney; 11 grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Philip Broyles and Wayne Parker. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Joe Herlong, Randy Gardner, Joe Sullivan, Bill Price, Conrad Barhnill, Dave Heatherly and An-cil Delashment will act as pallbearers.

Earli BLACKSBURG Mrs. Daisy Oveda Cooper Earls, 81, of Route 3, died Thursday in Cherokee Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of Willie Richard Earls. Daughter of the late John Black and Mamie Etters Cooper, she was a Cherokee County native and a housewife. She is survived by two sons, Leroy B.

Earls of Blacksburg, Robert Richard (Bob) Earls of Rock Hill; a daughter, Mrs. Ozelle Hathaway of St. Anthony, Idaho; two brothers, James B. and Junior Cooper of Chester; three sisters, Mrs. Yvonne Childs and Mrs.

Ruth Chandler of Chester, Mrs. Lucille Campbell of Spartanburg; 21 grandchildren; and 31 greatgrandchildren. Elders Manfred and Floyd Martin, and Lawrence Byars will conduct services Sunday at 3 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints in Gaffney where Earls was a member. Burial will be in Clingman Memorial Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Otis, Jeff, Steve and Frank Blackwell, Horace, David and Barry Earls, and Archie Fowler. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Gordon's Mortuary.
