Park Holiday traditions of mid-19th century farmers will be practiced during Christmas open house Dec. 12 at the Living History Farm at Kings Mountain State Park. Visitors can observe a cooking demonstration while enjoying the sounds of Christmas from 1-4 p.m. The program is free.

The farm is a recreation of an 1850s farmstead. The structures were moved to the farm from various locations throughout the Upcountry or were constructed in the vernacular style of the region. Visitors to the farm can see examples of two basic construction techniques: log and timber frame. Former Corinth Church pastor is revival speaker at New Heights Revival services are being held atNew Heights Baptist Church through Wednesday. The services are at 7 p.m.

Dr. Forrest Jackson, Editor of Ministry and Custom Products at the Sunday School Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, will be the guest minister. Before going to the Sunday School Board, Jackson was pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Cherokee County. He also serves as pastor of Southgate Baptist Church in Nashville, Tenn.
