A native of Cherokee County, she was the wife of Jack T. Osborne and the daughter of Newspapers, magazines and junk mail Computer paper; office paper Corrugated cardboard paperboard (i.e. cereal boxes) Plastic milk jugs Plastic soft drink bottles Any plastic containers with codes "1" or "2" on the bottom Aluminum cans and foil; aluminum pie plates Glass bottles and jars Steeltin food cans Car batteries Used motor oil (up to 5 gallons) In summary, we can recycle a very large percentage of the materials you may usually put in your trash can.

If you do not already recycle, PLEASE come join us for our Earth Day Festival and let us talk to you about recycling. And if you are already recycling, THANK YOU, and please join us for the festival as well. you deserve a reward for a job well and a member of Berry Memorial Baptist Church. Also surviving are one son, Terry D. Robinson of Gaffiiey; one daughter, Donna Jean Lindley of Gaffiiey; five brothers, James Wilkie, Clarence Wilkie, Forrest Wilkie, Buford Wilkie and D.B.

Wilkie, all of Gaffney; five sisters, Lois Dillinger of Chester, Marie Reynolds, Edna Cooper, Lone Pierce and Gladys Lamb, all of Gaffiiey; and four grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at Shuford Hatcher Chapel with the Rev. Joel Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Corinth Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Michael Pierce, Steve Wilkie, Mark Robinson, Chuck Cooper, Rodney Lamb, Jimmy Wilkie, Michael Dillinger and Tracy Wilkie. Bailey Jr. of Gaffiiey; one sister, Floride Dinkins of Lugoff; five grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Grassy Pond Baptist Church conducted by the Revs. Tom Turner and Warren Fowler.

Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Webb, Robert Webb, Benny Phillips, Lee Swofford, Lynn McCraw and Robert LeMaster. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Gregory, Glenn Oliver, Darrell Cox, G.E. Easier, Ted Allison, Miles Sams, James Bailey, L.D. Batchelor, Bobby Pettit, Claude Bagwell, Vernon Blackman, John Leazer, Deacons of Grassy Pond Baptist Church and the Men's Bible Class.

It is a day set aside each year to promote awareness of environmental issues including conservation and waste reduction, reuse and recycling, issues of grave importance to each and everyone of us. In Cherokee County, we will be celebrating Earth Day with the first annual Earth Day Festival on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the recycling center at the old chain gang camp on Overbrook Drive Ext Our festival will include not only conservation exhibits but also a craft fair, bake sale, bluegrass music, hot dogs and soda for sale, the D.A.R.E.

van, the county's hazardous material control vehicle and much more. If you are a regular recycler, please bring recyclable that day and plan to spend some time with us. If you have never recycled before, that day will be a good time to start. If you will bring two bags of sorted recyclables, you will get a free hot dog or a free carnation (while supplies last). There will be quite a few volunteers here who can answer your questions about recycling here in the county and who are eager to have the opportunity to do so.

at i 1 Chapel Fire O.B. Parker O.B. Parker, 81, of 123 Hampshire formerly of 205 Pan view died Tuesday, April 21, 1992, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. A native of Cherokee County, he was the widower of Mozelle Davis Parker and son of the late Charlie and Ray-moth Parker. He was a retired textile worker and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Sarratt and Joyce Martin, both of Gaffiiey; one son, Sam Parker of Matthews, N.C.; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at Shuford Hatcher Funeral Home.

Baptise Hon ness Church with the Revs. G.L. Brice, James Younu, T. the late William Grady and Etta Clary Mabry. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.

Also surviving are one son, Joe Osborne, of the home and one sister, Mildred Scruggs, of Gaffiiey. Graveside services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Frederick Memorial Gardens with Drs. Johnny McKinney and Randy Petti officiating. Family may be visited at the residence.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church of one's choice. Mary Greene Mary Jo Greene, 78, died Monday, April 20, 1992, at Kingston Nursing Center in Conway. A native of Rock Hill, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Emma Williams Parker. She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph C. Greene.

Survivors include three daughters, Mildred Slusser of Albuquerque, N.Mex., Evelyn Stewart of Myrtle Beach and Diane Maxwell of Fayettville, N.C.; a. son, Ralph Greene of Gaffney; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery in Blacksburg. Gordon Mortuary.

Tessie Martin COWPENS Tessie J. Martin, 98, of North Main Street died Monday, April 20, 1992, at Sardis Nursing Home in Charlotte. A native of Spartanburg, she was- the widow of John Worce Martin and daughter of the late Jesse Winton and Mary Ann Elizabeth Webber Jarrett She was a lifelong and oldest living member of the Cowpens First Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, J.W. Martin of Camden and Romeo J.

Martin of Atlanta, one daughter, Sarah Laudis Martin West of Charlotte; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Cowpens First Baptist Church with the Revs. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in Daniel Morgan Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held today from 1-2 p.m. in the parlor of Cowpens First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cowpens First Baptist Church, West Church Street, Cowpens, S.C. 29330. Floyd's North Street Chapel, Spartanburg.
