Frank Kimber and family have been named the winner of the 1952 Farm and Home Improvement program in Union county. The contest, sponsored by the St. Louis Chamber of Commerce, is planned to encourage long-time planning on the farm and home as a combined unit. JURY CLEARS OFFICERS Sheriff, Deputies Accused of Beating Handcuffed Negro Jackson, March 6 (AP) A white jury took only 45 minutes to return a verdict of innocent in the civil rights trial of five Mississippi law officers accused of beating a handcuffed Negro Former Sheriff Robert E. Lee, 39, and four deputies were acquitted on all counts at the end of a two-dav trial yesterday.
