Clark Society Chit-Chat By Peggy Mrs. Mabel Carson Entertains Chatters Members of the Chatters club were entertained last night by Mrs.

Mabel Carson at her home in Elm street. The affair also honored Mrs. Jane Corsi, with a bridal shower. Card pri7.es were awarded to Mrs. Martha Maitland, Mrs.

June Johnson and Mrs. Ruth Knight. Mrs. Corsi received a number of gifts. A lunch was served by the hostess.

Mrs. Mary Knight Is Cloverleaf Hostess Members of the Cloverleaf club were entertained at the home of Mrs. Mary Knight in Buchanan Hollow yesterday afternoon. A luncheon was served at noon. Guests included the Mesdames Eleanor Woodward.

Gladys Shea Is, Berenice Woodward, Myrtle Myers, Bertha DeWyer and Gladys Frost. The April meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Malcarne in Limestone. 7oe Melnick Is Honored at Stag Joseph Melnick, whose marriage to Mtss Honee Popiel will take place this spring, was honor guest at a stag dinner and smoker last evening at The Emery attended by nearly 100 guests. Harry Gordon was chairman of the dinner.

R. T. Mutzabaugh, toast-master, called upon Ned and Les Melnick, brothers of the honor guest, Izzy Wtchensky, Mr. Mel-nlck's business partner, Simon Popiel, brother of the bride-elect, and Mayor James Colt, to speak. Robert Ralph, who was unable to attend, sent a congratulatory telegram, which was read.

Mr. Melnick, who was presented a chest of silver, spoke briefly. Richard Evans To Be Honored At Stag Party Approximately 35 guests are expected to attend the stag party tomorrow evening co-chalrmaned by Charles Harding and James Campbell, honoring Richard Evans, whose marriage to the former Miss Kath-erine Barriere Horsley, took place recently. Dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock in Tush's Grill. Among those expected to attend are George Harden, Jack McCarthy, William and Donald Mackowski, Robert Leonard, IrancU O'Hearn, B.
