Meeks Dairy ojierated a retail business with a morning delivery of milk to Gates ville homes until 1954. Since then the milk produced there has gone into the wholesale markets. Mr.

Meeks married Miss Edith Lois Drew on Dec. 26, 193L He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Lew Weldon Meeks of Waco, Dean Drew Meeks of Gatesville and FJwood Martin Meeks of Garland; two brothers, Leonard Meeks and Raymond Meeks, both of Gatesville; two sisters, Mrs. Sudie Pajcne of San Antonio and Mrs. Mary Hoover of Corrigan; and seven grandchildren.

E. Meeks. Ho later farmed at Lo-rena before joining his father in the dairy business in Gates-ville in 1920. Manson Meeks was sole owner of the dairy for many years before selling it to a son. Dean Meeks, in early 1971.

He continued to work at the dairy. At the dairy, as many as 65 cows were milked by hand each day until the installation of Kenneth Moore. Funeral services for Manson D. Meeks, Gatesville dairy operator for 52 years, were held at 3 p. m.

Sunday In Scott's Funeral Home chapel. Minister John Barnhilt conducted the services, and burial was in Restland Cemetery. Mr. Meeks, 73, died of a sudr den heart attack at 9:45 m. Saturday In a dairy barn near his home on Levita.

Davidson Dies Suddenly; Rites at Mound Mrs. Gus Davidson prominent resident of the Mound community, died suddenly at at 10:30 a. mu Sunday in Oklahoma while enroute home in an automobile from a visit with relatives in Oklahoma City. She was 71 and her death was attributed to a heart attack, Funeral services were held at 10 a. Tuesday in the White Mound Baptist Church and were Conducted by Rev.

Walter Davidson and Rev. Paul Billingsley. Burial was in the Davidson Cemetery with Scott's in charge. Mrs. Davidson had been visiting in Oklahoma City with a son, John Mings Davidson, and family for ten days.

She planned to return home Sunday by train but since she was not feeling well, the Davidsons decided to bring her home by car. She was fatally stricken shortly after the trip began.
