10-A THE GATESVILLE MESSENGER, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1993 Cloyce Box, former NFL star, dies On Oct. 24 Cloyce Kennedy Box, a native of Jonesboro and former professional football player, died Oct. 24 at the age of 70. Graveside funeral services were held Oct. 28 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas.

A memorial service was conducted at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Dr. Dom Benton officiated the services. A eulogy was presented by Frank Gifford. The family requests that donations be made to the C.B.

After the war, he returned to West Texas State University and played football and later played professionally for the Detroit He also received his law degree from Baylor University during the midst of his football career.
