A general alarm for Sirs. Oscar Hammerstein widow of the impressario, has been sent out by the police-at the request of Mrs. Julia Farley, a friend, who has sheltered Mrs. Hammerstein since she was found a few weeks ago penniless and ill on a bench in Central Park. Mrs.

Farley told police that Mrs. Hammerstein, accompanied by her dog, left her home yesterday morning. A note left by Mrs. Hammerstein for Max Rubin, a student at Columbia University, who had planned a benefit for her at Carnegie Hall next Monday night, read: "I wish to thank you so much for all you have done for me. I am very tired and very weak.

In the basement of Salvatore's home, where he said he found the dynamite, while chopping wood, detectives found 23 other sticks of thev explosive hidden in the wood pile. Rozell, chacging that the plaintiff negotiated a deal whereby the defendant transferred 234 acres' of Franklin county land to one Page, of San Bonito, for $60,000. Terms IN MEMORY of my sister's darling baby girl, Stella Virginia Bawden, who was taken from us oner year ago today, Nov. 7, 1921.
