Hotel Feature on Hill Street i'The contractors are busy making alterations and additions to the Hotel Palms building, 609-619 South Broadway, for the department store. Architect 8. The consist of the entire removal of the Interior partitions, and for the erection of an nnnex 80x125 feet, three stories and basement, with new plate gloss and copper front. The outside brick work will be plastered with cement. A tenfoot basement will be excavated under the entire building.

Six first-class electric elevators, four passenger and two freight will be Installed. New plumbing and steam heating will be Installed. The- entire, building, when done will cover a i ground spaced of 125x170 feet and the Improvements will, have cost $75,000. It will be used as nn up-to-date department- store. The same architect 'has also drawn, sketches for a six-story seml-flreproor structure 125x160 feet -to be erected on Hill street, adjoining in the rear the Hotel Palms.
