SING Trinity University Four to Present Delightful Program The male quartet from Trinity University at Waxahachle Texas which will sing at the Harris Avenue Presbyterian Church Friday evening at 8:30 Is ranked as one of the best quartets In the state and It la considered a rare treat to have them coma to San Angelo The quartet la composed of James Herring Paul Jones Amos Gross and Gordon Evans The boys are full of pep and have elsewhere on their tour over Texas given a very delightful program Their program will consist of classical music old-time melodies and popular music Mr Evans a very talented pianist will render several solos and a pianologuo Mr Jones and Mr Herring have had quite lot of experience along the dramatic line and will render a one act comedy Pair of Lunatics The Christian Endeavor society of the First Presbyterian Church Is bringing the quartet here and cor dially invites the public to bo present for the program A free will offering will be made SINGING PLANS UNDER WAY Community Service Getting Ready for Initial Community Singing The temporary music committee of Community Service of San Angelo Is completing plans for the initial meeting of a community chorus which Is to bo organized during the stay of Harry Murrison of the National Community Service Mr-Morrison is being loaned to San Angelo for a period of three weeks to assist in any way In the stimulation of the Community Music program Ho will also conduct sings during the Sheep and Goat Raisers Convention and conduct a doss for the training of volunteer song leaders and leaders of instrumental groups These classes and the-rhorus will be free from any charge and any one desiring to become a member is eligible regardless of previous musical training The temporary committee of which which Mrs Henry Jackson is the chairman is In chargo of regislra tion and ail persons who wish to become members of the chorus are urged to register their name with her or with Mr Frank Traenkle executive secretary However the registration will not be closed and those who have not had the opportunity to register are urged to bo preseut at tho first meeting which will be held on Monday evening at 8:15 in the Sunday school room of the Baptist church when Mr Murrison will conduct the first rehearsal The definite dates for the time of meeting for the chorus and also for the Training Classes
