Dr. H.H. White, vice chairman of the medical staff at the Sanitarium of Paris, will continue as acting chief of staff until the annual meeting next January.

Dr. L.P. McCiiistion, whose death occurred July 16, had been chief of staff since opening of the Sanitarium in 1914. 25YEARSAGO 8,1972 Merger of Lampton Funeral Home in Hugo with the Mills' family funeral home group covering five additional southeast Oklahoma towns, was announced today by Mr. and Mrs.

David Allen officiating. Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. He was bom March 18, 1908, in Caddo Mills to William Melvin and Mary Parker.

He married Faye Allen April 28, 1945. He was a retired mechanic at American Box Co. and was a deacon at Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church for 34 years. Surviving are his wife of 52 years and four months; two sons, Allen Parker of Paris and Mel Parker of Paris; two daughters, Jackie Gamer of Paris and Vicky Raper of Paris; nine grandchildren, Jai, Kenny, Charles, and Andy Parker, Connie McCann, Brad Ballard, Steven Hall, Lauren and Kyle Raper; and six great-grand' preceded fo'ddauv Pallbearers will be Charles, Andy, Jai and Kenny Parker, Brad Ballard and Leo McCann. Honorary bearers will be Kyle Raper, Steven Hall, Alvis Bell, LeRpy Ricks and Ronnie Pratt.

Jim Grant Garrett BOGATA Jim Grant Garrett, 67, of Bogata died Saturday, July 26,1996, at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, at First United Methodist Church in Bogata with the Rev. Mike Green and the Rev. Bob Bush officiating.

Wood Funeral Home will make burial in Bogata Cemetery. The family will friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the Garrett home. He was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Rugby to Jim and Effie Bailey Garrett.

He was a retired medical technologist and served in the Navy during the Korean conflict. He married Margie Minshew in Bogata Dec. 26,1985. She was bom May 26, 1912, in Lamar County, to Walter and Flossie Whitworth Chennault. She married Jerrol Ray March 9, 1930, Baptist Church in Blossom. Surviving are eight children: Geraldine Harris of Mesquite, Martha Cummings of Tulsa, Bonnie Fields of Rowlett, Patsy Hoffman, Charles Ray, and Lloyd Ray of Blossom, James Ray of Sumner and Jerry Ray of Paris; a sister, Margie Walker Denison of Paris; 30 grandchildren; 47 great- grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Marie Ray, Sept. 7, 1940, and by two brothers, Euel and Billy Wayne Chennault, and a sister, Lillian Bowman.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Walker, Paul Walker, Chuck Ray, Jamie Ray, Sammy Cullum and Danny Hoffman. Betty Jo Barker HUGO, Okla. Cheyenne Mae Dale Cheyenne Mae Dale, infant daughter of Elisa and Jeff Dale of Deport died at birth Friday, July 25, 1997, at Baylor University Medical center, Dallas, Graveside services were held at noon Monday at the home of her parents in Deport. Horton, 89, of Antlers, died Saturday, July 26, 1997, at his home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at Antlers Church of Christ with burial in Antlers City Cemetery by Mills and Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers. He was a lifelong resident of Antlers, moving with his family to the area as a chilld. He was bom March 13, 1908, in Dustin, to James and Viola Hauk Horton.

He was a retired farmer and had worked for Pushamatha County as a maintenance worker. He worked at Finfey Feed and Seed Store of 13 years. Surviving are his wife Raymunda; a daughter, Francine Neeley and husband Charles of Paris; a sister, Lucy Hacker of Ontario, three grandchildren, Bruce Horton of Midland, Texas, Annabell Diaz of High Point, N.C., andfth'dmas Perry Neeley of Paris; was' preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Faye Thomas Horton, in 1989. Bessie Bamett LaRoe KAUFMAN Bessie Barnett LaRoe, 94, of Kaufman, went to with the Lord Friday, July 25, 1997. She was a former resident of Paris.

Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, at Kaufman Church of Christ with Noel Whitlock and George Bailey officiating. Burial was in Morrow Chapel Cemetery in the Ola community by Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kaufman. Mrs. LaRoe was bom Nov.

24, 1902, in Hunt County to Jasper P. and Ellie Rebecca Orchard Bamett. She married Frank LaRoe Jan. 20, 1934, in Tyler. She began a teaching career in the Ola community in 1928.

She came to Kaufman schools when Kaufman and Ola schools consolidated and taught there until 1962 when she moved to Paris where she continued to teach third grade until retiring in 1973. Mrs. LaRoe enjoyed life to the fullest and even at 94 years of age she still looked forward to each day and any social occasion which allowed her to visit with old friends, family or former students she had taught during her 30 years of teaching third grade. She enoyed painting, crochet, knitting and sewing as well as ribbon embroidery. She was unhappy only when her hands were idle and never dwelled on dying because she so much enoyed living.

Surviving are her husband; daughters Dorothy LaRoe Keetch of Dallas and Mary Frances Payne and husband Walter of Kaufman; five grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; a brother, Fred Burnett of Wichita Falls; sisters, Ruby Neal of Wichita Falls, Bonnie Speight of Carrollton and Evelyn Cmelka of Sun City; a brother-in- law, Sam LaRoe of Myrtle Springs, as well as several nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by a son, William Harold Binion, in 1944. Pallbearers were Todd Tomlin, Kevin Grant Keetch, Christopher Gunter, Stephen Pilcher, Walter F. Pilcher, Ben Pilcher and Juddson Payne. Bill Payne was honorary pallbearer.

20, 1930, in Colbert to John William and Mary Elizabeth Townsend Roberts. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict. Surviving are his wife, Edna Mae Phillips Roberts; three daughters, Geraldine Elaine Choate and Glenda Mae Singleton, both of Boswell and Ella Joyce Tran of Sawyer; two brothers, Jess Roberts and Frank Roberts of Bennington; a sister, Emma Davis of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
