history Over 40 floats more than 200 horiea and rideri bandi drum and bugla corpa and marching units put together by parade chairman Sanford (Sandy) Gib son will entertain the thousands that are expected to line the parade route The question of a possible postponement had been raised because of a cold front bearing showers that was pushing down-state Friday However the parade will be held if at all possible officials say The festival hit a weather snag this mailing as wind snd rain forced postponement of the water events scheduled to be held in the area of the Second Street fill They have been reset however for Sunday afternoon The ski race wiil be held at 1 pm the slalom ski rsce at 2:30 the boat races at 4 pm with an exhibition of trick skiing to follow events at the Pelican Yacht Club pool will be held as scheduled an exhibition of swimming snd diving from 5 to 6 pm an underwater skin diving exhibition from 6 to 6:30 a fashion show from 6:30 to 7 and a dance for all Sandy "Miss Delicious Dish" beating out a dozen other contestants for the crown Over a dozen different citrus salads and deserts were presented to the public for their eating pleasure Parrish of Titus-vfile president of Nevins Fruit Co and president of the state Chamber et Commerce gave a talk on Florida Citrus and showed a film that traced the history of citrus in this country Earlier in the day between
