The bells of the town's 13 churches were all rung at noon to launch the 75th anniversary program. The pageant has a cast of 256 actors, dancers, and riders and will be presented at sevjn por- formances at Scheer Stadium today through Sept. 6 beginning each night at 8:30 p.m.

Featured in the play be a simulated atomic bomb explosion. complete with a mushroom-shaped cloud. A huge fireworks display will follow each "-formance. Today will also be ''Youth Day." with a street dance being held in the 100 block of Potomac Street at 9 p.m. Athletic events be held earlier in the day.

John T. Barr, 20 of Baltimore, was fatally injured Sunday when his motorcycle went out of control and ran off the street at an intersection in Dundalk. Joseph Barnes 26 of Baltimore, was killed Sunday in a two car collision on Maryland 144 in Catonsville. Police said the car in which Barnes was riding crossed the center line and struck the left side of another auto. Two young Laurel men were killed late Saturday night in a one car accident on Maryland 198 at Fort Meade.

The victims were Larry Brookman, 17, and Lloyd B. Mayhugh, 18. Police said the boys were riding in the back seat of a car which went out of control, skidded off the road, slammed into a tree, spun around and struck another tree. Elizabeth Thomas, 5, was fatally injured Saturday when she darted from between two parked vehicles into the path of a car on the street on which she lived in Hagerstown, Also killed in separate accidents Saturday were Mrs. Mabe!
