Paul (Effie Bowen) Pitts, 79, of Richland County was found dead in her home Friday morning. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Zirkle Funeral Home, Olney, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Cresthaven Memorial Park, near Claremont.

Mrs. Pitts was born in Richland County, daughter of Clinton A. and Mary Bowen. She was a member of Eldo United Methodist Church. She married Paul Pitts in 1913.

lie died in 1963. Surviving are son, Sherman of Olney; brother, Russell Bowen of rural Olney; sisters, Mrs. Essie Heindselman and Mrs. Bessie Berry, both "of Olney; Mrs. Flo Miles of Shelbyville, two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

STEWART Charles E. Stewart, 54, of Effingham was found dead in his car Thursday evening. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham. Burial will be in Arbor Crest Cemetery, near Effingham.

HOUSTON Harold E. Houston, 73, of Lincoln died 8:55 p.m. Thursday in Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln. Funeral services will' be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Holland Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, with visitation 4 to 7 p.m.

Sunday. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln. Mr. Houston was born in Lincoln, son of William J. and Carrie Houston.

He was a retired auto supply store salesman and a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lincoln. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving is a sister, Corinne Houston of Lincoln. JONES Mrs. Frank (Dorothy Starbuck) Jones, 93, of West Palm Beach, formerly of Mattoon, died Thursday in West Palm Beach.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in Schilling's Funeral Home, Mattoon, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon. Mrs.

Jones was born in Ridgeville, daughter of Robert and Annetta Starbuck. She was a member of Central Community Church, Mattoon. She married Frank Jones, who died in 1958. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Annetta Champion of West Palm Beach, son, Roger of Salt Lake City, Utah; four grandchildren.

METZGER George D. Metzger, 58, of Clinton died 9:30 a.m. Friday in his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, with visitation 4 to 9 p.m.

Sunday. Friends, may also call 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in Pullen-Boos Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Mr.

Metzger was born in Fayette County, son of Paul and Gertie M. Metzger. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his two sons and two daughters; brothers, Jerold of St. Jacob; Dean of Dubois, sisters, Kay Smith of Chicago; Gertrude Thursday night in the home of her brother, Herman Oldham of Taylorville.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville. The body will then be taken to Florida. Mrs. Blaydes was born in Sciota, daughter of Boston and Mary Oldham.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. She married Ralph Blaydes in 1942. He preceded her in death. Surviving are brother Herman; sister Mrs. Carolyn Griffith of Taylorville.

BRIDGEWATER Mrs. Marion (Martha Mobley) Bridgewater, 82, of Armington died 12:10 a.m. Thursday in Hopedale Hospital, Hopedale. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta.

Burial will be in Oak View Cemetery, Armington. Mrs. Bridgewater was born in Brown County, daughter of Andrew and Caroline Mobley. She was a member of Armington Jehovah Witness. She married Marion J.

Bridgewater in 1910. He died in 1960. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Lillie Van Orman of Armington; Marion of Armington; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter and two grandchildren preceded her in death.

BROWN Mrs. Dorothy B. Hammer-schmidt Brown, 65, of Mon-ticello died 4 a.m. Friday in Kirby Hospital, Monticello. Funeral services will be 1 p.m.

Sunday in Mackey Funeral Home, Monticello, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Monticello Cemetery. She was born in Deer Park, a daughter of William and Elizabeth Hammerschmidt. Surviving are sons, David of Vero Beach, Gary of Columbia, S.

A veteran of World War he had farmed in the Humboldt area all his life. He married Agnes Munson in 1924. She died in 1965. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Leroy Cole and Mrs.

Earl Davidson, both of Humboldt; Mrs. Floyd Seelow of Perry, Mrs. Don Griffen of Mattoon; Mrs. Virginia Werner of Indianapolis Mrs. Carl McDonald of Tilton; Mrs.

Thursday in Danville Veterans Administration Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Fricke Funeral Home, Lincoln, with visitation 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mr. Deavers was born in Webster City, Iowa, son of George and Dora Deavers. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lincoln, Eagles Lodge and American Legion. Mr. Deavers was a plasterer and a veteran of World War I.

He married Maude Matson in 1919. She died in 1956. Surviving are sons, William of Cartersburg, Raymond of New Holland; Louis of Jupiter, William of Lincoln; daughters, Edna Deavers of Bloomington; Mrs. Norma Leevey of Lincoln; sister, Mrs. Bertha Greenslate of Lincoln; 19 grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren.

Two brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. GRABB E. A. Grabb, 88, of Bethany died 6:30 p.m. Friday in Illini House, Decatur.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at McMullin Funeral Home, Bethany. GRAHAM Charles Lawrence Graham, 83, of Areola, formerly of Mattoon, died 6 p.m. Thursday in the Areola home of his niece, Mrs. William (Treva) Cobb, with whom he lived. Funeral services will be 2 p.m.

Sunday in Mitchell-Jerdan Funeral Home, Mattoon, with visitation after 6 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Dodge Grove Cemetery, Mattoon. Mr. Graham was born near Allenville, son of William and Anna Graham.

He was a retired boiler maker for Illinois Central Railroad. He married Sylvia Gladys Kuhn in 1916. She died in 1968. Surviving are brother, Fred of Effingham; sister, Mrs. Bessie Johnson of Indianapolis, Ind.

Church where she sang in the senior choir. She was married to Robert J. Lawrence in Decatur. Surviving are her husband; stepsons, Robert Jr. and James Richard, both of Chicago; brothers, Henry Meredith of Decatur; Oscar Meredith Jr.

William (Christine) Anderson of Decatur; five grandchildren. MILLS Michael Ray Mills, 25, of Terre Haute, formerly of Decatur, died April 8 in Terre Haute. Funeral services and burial were in Terre Haute, Ind. MURPHY Mrs. Claude (Veronica E. Troska) Murphy, 83, of 705 W. Olive St. died 3:40 a.m.

Thursday in Lakeshore Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home, with visitation after 6 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, So-rento.

Mrs. Murphy was born in Brush Creek, a daughter of Joseph A. and Christine Troska. She married Claude A. Murphy, who died in 1944.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth E. of Decatur; daughter, Mrs. Anne Martin of Los Angeles, brother, Joseph Troska of Enid, sisters, Mrs. Fred (Tracey) Decker of Wichita, Mrs. Ed (Tillie) Sloup; Mrs.

Frank (Agnes) Hromas and Mrs. Glen (Gertie) Baldwin, all of Enid, Mrs. Miles a i ne Sweeney of Olooagah Mrs. Frank (Mary) Moravec of Waukomis, eight grandchildren and five great -grandchildren. Two sons, one daughter and one sister preceded her in death.

Central Illinois BALTOKUS Mrs. Stanley (Beulah A. Campbell) Baltokus, 62, of Taylorville died 4:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville.

Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Monday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, aylorville, with visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 8 p.m. Wake service, in Sutton Funeral Home, Taylorville.

Mrs. Baltokus was born in Riverton, daughter of Oscar and Minnie Campbell. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Taylorville. She married Stanley Baltokus in 1946.

He died in 1957. Surviving are daughter, Mrs. JoAnn Williams of Taylorville; brothers, Roy Campbell of Springfield; Cecil Campbell of Edinburg; Douglas Campbell of Chicago; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. BECK Mrs. Ida Wienke Beck, 82, of rural Homer died 6:30 a.m.

BOURNE Erik Brandon Bourne, 11-week-old son of James Howard and Adrian Lee Bragg Bourne, died Wednesday in Stuttgart, Germany. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Dawson and Wikoff Funeral Home, Decatur. He was born in Germany where his father is stationed in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his parents; grandparents, Mr.

and Mrs. Harry Bragg of Decatur; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bourne of rural Warrensburg and great -grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

William Bourne of War-rensburg. BUSCH Mrs. John (Mary Kitch) Busch, 88, formerly of Decatur died 10:30 a.m. Friday in Turtle Creek Convalescent Home, Litchfield. Funeral services will be 3 p.m.

Monday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Busch was born in Macon, a daughter of Hiram and Alice Kitch.

She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and was a retired Registered Nurse. She graduated in the first graduating class of the Army School of Nursing at Walter Reed Hospital, Washington D.C. in 1921. She also taught in Litchfield schools. She married John L.

Busch in 1936. He died in 1955. Surviving are stepson, Rev. Joseph J. Busch of Riverside, daughters, Miss Mabel Kitch of Springfield; Mrs.

Charles (Alice) Fleming of Litchfield; brothers, Ernest of Indianapolis, John of EvansvUle, Ind. DILL Mrs. Karry (Kathryn) Dickinson Dill, 83, of Oshkosh, formerly of Decatur, died Thursday morning in Stanley Heritage Home, Neenah, Wis. Funeral services will be in Oshkosh Saturday. The Seefeld Funeral Home is in charge.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday in First Christian Church, Decatur. Burial will be in Grace-land Cemetery. Memorials will be established. Mrs.

Dill was born in Albuquerque, N. a daughter of Daniel and Phoebe Dickinson. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Oshkosh and a former member of First Christian Church, Decatur. While at the Decatur church, she was a member of the Missionary Society, nursery attendant and president of the women's organization. She married Harry Dill in 1913.

He died in 1953. Mrs. Dill moved from Decatur to Oshkosh in 1953. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Ruth) Runyon of Oshkosh; foster son, James Dickinson of Saugus, sister, Mrs.

Phoebe Kerley Tucson, brothers, William F. Dickinson of Glendale, Robert Dickinson of St. Louis, Mo. KOERTGE Mrs. Robert Koertge, 56, of Bone Gap, mother of Mrs.

Samuel Kershaw of Decatur, died 4 a.m. Friday in her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Zion United Methodist Church, West Salem. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday in the Ingram Funeral Home, West Salem. LAWRENCE Mrs. Robert J. (Mattie Mae Meredith) Lawrence, 66, of 849 S.

Webster St. died 9:50 a.m. Friday in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday in J. J. Sons Funeral Home and from noon to service time Monday in the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Lawrence was born in Tuscumbia, a daughter of Oscar and Sarah Freeman Meredith. She moved to Decatur from Tuscumbia in 1930. He was a member of Ash Grove Christian Church. He married Edna Small in 1916. She died in 1934. He married Blanche Huffman in 1954. She died in 1966.

Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Donald (Opal) Zimmer of Neoga; Mrs. George (Ruth) Blevins of Sylmar, Mrs. Lawson (Clara) Livingston of Ashmore; Mrs. E.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Craig was born in Ramsey, daughter of Jesse and Mary Moreland. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She married Sam Craig in 1913.
