Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, with visitation after 6 p.m.

Friday. Burial will be in LaPlace Cemetery. Mr. Weakley was born in Cerro Gordo, son of Charles E. and Mary Weakley.

He was a retired car inspector for the Norfolk Western Railway. He was a member of LaPlace United Methodist Church. He married Bonnie Kirkland in 1926. She died in 1973. Surviving are sisters, Mrs.

Amanda Whitmore and Mrs. Arnold (Ola) LeHew, both of Decatur; Mrs. Esther Eagan of Atwood; Mrs. Guy (Edna) Kin-tner of Monticello. One brother preceded him in death.

Macon County BENNETT Mrs. George (Mable Lash) Bennett, 66, of 1234 N. Pine St. died 5:48 p.m. Wednesday (July 13, 1977) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Huff was born in Hammond, daughter of Thomas and Lucinda Askins. She was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America. She was a past State Commander of U.S. Army Mothers, a past 4th Vice Commander of the National Office of U.S.

Army Mothers. She married Earl Huff in 1906. He died in 1951. Surviving are Earl. and Charles 0..

Mrs. Spike (Mary-Jane i Shapiro of Decatur; Mrs. By William C. Groninger Lindsay-Schaub News Service Champaign The state is expected to conclude its case this morning in Champaign County Circuit Court against one of two men charged with the Feb. 15 murder of a Champaign car salesman.

On trial is Donald Woodruff, 19, of Chicago. Also charged in the murder is Percy Jones, 20. also of Chicago, who will be tried later. Testimony in court Thursday continued to bolster the state's admittedly circumstancial evidence case against Woodruff. Chief Asst.

State's Atty. Jack DeLaMar, with another assistant, Jeff Ford, introduced further testimony of persons who said they saw the pair in Champaign between Feb. 11 and Feb. 15. Derek Smith, of Chicago, tes- tified that he was the owner of the 1973 Buick stolen Feb.

Davis of Bethany: R. Jack Davis of Bloomington; one grandson. CIPS Union Rejects Offer Meredosia Power plant workers at the Central Illinois Public Service Co. (CIPS) Meredosia station rejected a three-year contract offer Thursday night. The offer was rejected overwhelmingly by Local 591 of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), said Gary Rausch, local president.

Rausch said the 125 union members will continue working and negotiations with the company will resume at 9:30 a.m. today. CIPS continued contract talks Thursday with Local 148 of the IUOE. The renewed negotiations began Monday. A company spokesman said there was no tentative agreement yet but he was not sure if the talks would continue again today.
