Morning, March 6, 1975 Lubbock State School To Organize Band Rv TANNER LAFNE Staff Tndnv may be just another day to thousands of South Plains residents, hut to 20 Lubbock State School residents it may he the most exciting day of their lives they arp going to start a band. Keith Bearden, one of two Monterey High School hand directors, will start the first 15 minute hand practice session at the school today. Friday, Doyle Gammill. an other Monterey hand will take over a 45 minute prac tice. The two band directors, who thought of the idea of a hand at the state school, will go to the state school four times a week for hand practice sessions.

They are doing this on their own time and at free periods a way from the regular hand at Monterey. They have the approval and fhe support of their principal, Randles, and arp receiving Kid per cent cooperation at the slate school.
