Patterson of Caruthersville, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Belly Jo Patterson, to Beverly Lee Thompson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Beverly A. Thompson of New Madrid, Mo. The wedding will be solemnized Oct.

4 at the First Baptist Church Caruthersville with Dr. Samuel G. Shepherd officiating. A fam- ily reception will follow at the home of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

John Gaddy. Miss Patterson's. attendants will be Mrs. Sparks of Marianna. matron of honor, and Miss Sue Cain, Miss Mary Ellen Merrill and Miss Ellis Hayden, all of Caruthers- ville, as bridesmaids.

George Dawson, cousin sol the bridegroom, will serve as best man. Groomsmen will be Sam petch, Bob Patterson and Larry' Garrison. Mrs. Guy Michie will be organist and Mrs. Al Kaltwasser of Benton, cousin of the bride, will sing.

Miss Patterson was graduated from Caruthersville High School and attended Hendrix College, at Conway and Arkansas at Sonesboro. Mr. Thompson was graduated from New Madrid High School and Southeast Missouri State College at Cape Girardeau In 1953. He now is in the Air Force stationed at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, Ill. First Methodist WSGS Circles Meet Meetings were held in homes of members yesterduy for the circles of the Woman's Society of Christian Service of First Methodist Church.

E. Black. Mrs. 5. rold Wood entertained seven members Circle Seven last night at her home, when Mrs.

W. Marion Williams, a guest at the meeting, reviewed the bauk "The Virginian." Refreshments were served by each of the hostesses during social hour which followed each of the sessions. WSCS Members Meet Mis. M. O.

Nazarene Church Class Has Party A wiener roast and picnic supper were held last night on the lawn of the Roy Gaines' home when Mrs. Gaines, teacher of the Winners Class of First Nazarene Church Sunday School, and members of the class entertained 73 people. A picnic supper was served from long tables arranged on the lawn of the home, and the evening was spent in informal entertainment. Prayer was offered by the Rev.

Church Plans 'Motor Supper' A "motor supper" 1s to be held tomorrow night by members of the Woman's Society of Christian Serevice of Lake Street Methodist Church, to which the public is Invited.
