and Fabic Tractor Flora. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and First Christian Church. He married Jean Miller in 1940. Surviving are his wife; brothers, William of Louisville; Robert of Alton; Or-ren of Jacksonville, Fla. sisters, Mary Zander and Mrs.

O.P. (Del ores) Stanford, both of Flora; Hazel Brush of Clayton, Mo. Wakefield Paul Rudolph Wakefield, 78, of Sullivan, formerly of Shelbyville and Cow-den, died 5:55 a.m. Thursday (April 17, 1980) in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur.

Brunart Mrs. William (Mabel Reed) Brunart, 98, of Taylorville died 12:10 a.m. Thursday (April 17, 1980) in St. Vincent Memorial Hospital, Taylorville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m.

Saturday in Shafer Funeral Home, Taylorville, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Springfield. Mrs. Brunart was born in New City, daughter of George W.

Carrell Don J. "Rab" Carrell, 70, of Toledo died 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (April 16, 1980) in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, Coles County. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Barkley Funeral Home, Toledo, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday. Burial will be in Toledo Cemetery. Mr. Carrell was born in Cumberland County, son of Ross and Sidney Carrell. He was a retired farmer and member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, rural Greenup.

He married Madge Thompson in 1934. Surviving are his wife; sons, James of Lerna; Rodger of Greenup; dughters, Winona Saathoff and Beverly Darter, both of Toledo; Nancy Glosser of Ar-genta; brothers, Guy and Leo, both of Toledo; Lester of Indianapolis; sister, Mae Cowan of Toledo; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death. Cross Frances Millburg Cross, 90, of Morri-sonville died 12:45 a.m. Thursday (April 17, 1980) in Dirksen House, Springfield.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Maurice Church, Morri-sonville. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fishburn-Hough Funeral Home, Morrisonville, with 7 p.m.

Simmons Mrs. Carroll (Daisy Blankenship) Simmons, 79, of Kinmundy died Wednesday (April 16, 1980) in Twin Willows Nursing Center, Salem.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Linton Funeral Home, Kinmundy, with visitation after 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery, Salem. Memorials: Marion County Heart Fund.

Mrs. Simmons was born in Jefferson County, daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Blankenship. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Alma. She married Carroll Simmons in 1920. He died in 1957.

Surviving are sons, Harold of Kinmundy; Wayne of Grandview, daughter, Naomi Sullivan of Kinmundy; foster daughters, Lorraine Fiscus of Vandalia; Pat Espy of Cerro Gordo; brothers, William Blankenship of Kell; Herman Blankenship of Altaon; sister, Gwen Michael of Texaco; nine grandchildren; four foster grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Five brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Taylor Earl R. Taylor, 79, of Tolono died 10:50 p.m. Wednesday (April 16, 1980) in Americana Nursing Center, Urbana.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Freese Funeral Home, Tolono, with visitation 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, 'Philo. Mr.

Taylor was born in Tilden, son of John and Clara Taylor. He was a retired employee of Illinois Central Railroad, member of Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge. He married Jane Edgar in 1920. Surviving are his wife; daughters, Margie Maulding of Tolono; Betty Page of Oakland; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Water Jerry Letzkus Dean Stimson r- Bikel hospitalized with broken leg HOLLYWOOD (AP) Entertainer Theodore Bikel was in the hospital with a broken leg Thursday after he was hit by a car as he allegedly jaywalked across a Hollywood street, police said. The 56-year-old Vienna-born actor and singer was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition. No citations were issued in the Wednesday night accident, according to West Traffic Division Sgt. Joe Cross.

He said Bikel was not in a crosswalk when he was hit. Don (Barbara) Henneberry of Dalton City; brother, Charles of Brazil, seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death. Huckaeby Goldie Mae Huckaeby, 74, of 350 E. Waggoner died 3:50 p.m. Wednesday (April 16, 1980) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park! Mrs. Huckaeby was born in Decatur, daughter of Douglas and Merthina Por-twood Hutchinson.

She was a member of the Church of God. She married Cecil Ray Huckaeby. He died in 1978. Surviving is a sister, Ruth Hodges of Decatur. One daughter, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Miller L. Dale Miller, 61, of Route 1, Maroa, died 12:44 a.m. Thursday (April 17, 1980) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, with visitation 6 to 9 p.m.

Saturday. Burial will be in Texas Cemetery. Mr. Miller was born in Pinckneyville, son of Henry Jacob and Mattie Opp Miller. He was a member of Maroa United Methodist Church and National Rural Letter Carriers Association.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a rural mail carrier since 1958 and was formerly employed at Decatur Signal Depot. He married Ger-aldine Cherry in Pana in 1954. Surviving are his wife; sons, Kevin, Scott and Mark, all at home; mother of Maroa; brothers, Lee of Kenney; James of Maroa; sister, Mrs.

Nina Brelsfoard of Maroa. One brother preceded him in death. Parker Charles M. Parker, 78, of 1635 N. 31st St.

died Thursday afternoon (April 17, 1930) in St. Mary's Hospital. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home. Thornburg Edwina B.

Thornburg, 77, of 1096 W. Decatur died 5:20 p.m. (April 16, 1380) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Private graveside services will be Friday in Park View Cemetery, Peoria. Memorial: Heart Fund.

Dawson Wik- Correction Brenda Baker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Baker, competed in Monday's spelling bee in the Niantic-Harristown School District. She was selected as an alternate to Brad Ferguson. The school district failed to supply that information to the Decatur Herald and Review.

Due to a copy-editing error in Thursday's Herald, Stacey Roma-ger's name was misspelled under her photograph as third-place finisher in the Decatur School District spelling bee story. Due to wrong information supplied by the Decatur Jaycees, the telephone number in a Herald story about Operation Sandbox was Incorrect. She married Clinton Haycraft in 1905. He died in 1966. Surviving are sons, Guy and Lonnie, both of Witt; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren. One son preceded her in death. Hicks Mrs.

Nova (Lurana J. Stokes) Hicks, 88, of Bingham died 7 p.m. Wednesday (April 16, 1980) in Hillsboro Hospital. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Liberty Primitive Baptist Church, Bingham, with visitation 9 to 11 a.m.

Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore. Mrs. Hicks was born in Bingham, daughter of Joseph and Nevada Stokes. She was a member of Liberty Primitive Baptist Church.

She married Jerry Owens in 1913. He died in 1933. She married Nova Hicks in 1946. He died in 1964. Surviving are son, Fred Owens of Mount Zion; daughters, Mrs.

Vern (Thelma) Lourash of Decatur; Mrs. Max (Freda) Wilson of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; sisters, Thelma Baugher of Irving; Ida Stokes of Ramsey; 16 grandchildren. Three brothers, one sister and one grandchild preceded her in death. Kendall Robert W. Kendall, 76, of Sun City Center, formerly of Mattoon and Moweaqua, died 11:45 a.m.

Tuesday (April 15, 1980) in Manatee Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, Fla. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Dawson Wikoff Funeral Home, Moweaqua, with visitation after 4 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Bilyeu Cemetery, Moweaqua.

Mr. Kendall was born in Wyoming, son of Robert W. and Emma Kendall Sr. He was a retired lineman for Central Illinois Public Service was a member of West Side Christian Church, Bradenton, and was a veteran of World War II. He married Mary Scrib-ner in 1948.

Surviving are his wife of Sun City Center, daughter, Mrs. George W. (Roberta) Foltz of Nokomis; brothers, Elmer of Granger, Clarence of Florida; two grandchildren. Paradee Mrs. Harold (Lenna A.

Shempf) Paradee, 75, of Pana, formerly of Ramsey, died 10:50 p.m. Wednesday (April 16, 1980) in Pana Community Hospital. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, rural Ramsey. No visitation.

Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, is in charge. Mrs. Paradee was born in Pana, daughter of Henry and Nellie Shempf. She married Harold Paradee in 1921. He died in 1970.
