2 Friday, Oct. 8. 1965 IRE NEWS BRIEFS from Everywhere Betty Grable Divorces LAS VEGAS, Nev. marriage of movie queen Betty Grable and bandleader Harry James, begun 22 years ago with a five minute wedding ceremony, ended here yesterday in a 10 minute divorce. Miss Grable, kiffbwn as the girl with the million' dollar legs during the peak of her movie career in the 1940s, was granted ap uncontested divorce by distngiJMge John Mowbray.

She charged extreme cruelty. James, a renowned trumpet player whose orchestra was one of the most popular during the big-band era, is currently in California. The blonde actress, still stunning at 48, has been rehearsing here for her opening in in December at the Riviera Hotel. Miss Grable and James, 49, have maintained a home in the Paradise Palms section of Las Vegas the past several years but recently had seldom been seen together in public. They were wed here in 1943 by a Baptist minister in a five minute ceremony in the Little Church of the West.
