For most US television viewers the new TV season will be a celebration of the familiar with networks at their usual places on the dial But not in Knoxville Confusion threatens to reign among those who watch their home screens here For the viewer the situation stems from three major factors: 1 The scheduled switch in network affiliations Sept 17 by WATE-TV Channel 6 and WTVK Channel 26 Now an NBC affiliate WATE-TV will switch from NBC to ABC and WTVK will go from ABC to NBC 2 Changes in the announced schedules Of the 21 new fall shows announced by the three commercial networks last spring one has been dropped and six or seven have been moved around 3 ABC jumping the gun by introducing some of its shows to etc) before Sept 10 the scheduled start of its fall season Area viewers already were puzzled by the local switchover planned for a week into season To clarify the situation first a look at fall schedule keyed to its Sept 17 switchover to ABC Other stations and their lineups will be featured on upcoming Sundays Channel 6 will air all seven of new prime-time shows as well as "Detective School" which met success as a limited summer series The shows and their air times: of the Sundays at 7 pm a comedy-fantasy series starring Jimmy Brogan as an angel assigned to Earth to help a harried aunt guide a newly orphaned family of children New Kind of Sundays at 7:30 pm a comedy series starring Eileen Brennan and Gwynne Gilford as the heads of two fatherless families forced to share a house Sundays at 8:30 pm (right after the popular and about a group of young attorneys in a staid law office and starring Wilfrid Hyde-White Mondays at 8 pm a series about a police search-and-rescue team starring John Bennett Perry Joanna Cassidy and Sports fans also will find popular "NCAA Football" on Channel 6 at 1:30 pm Saturdays and NFL football at 9 pm Mondays Dinah Shore and her show will return as "Dinah and and "The Lawrence Welk will open by featuring its fourth star from
