McClellan, boy, May 15 easy answer accepts mantynmiotnf WASHINGTON (AP) Claude Lafayette Dallas a trapper who said he killed two Idaho fish-and-game officers in self-defense, was placed on the FBI's list of 10-most-wanted fugitives Friday. The FBI also announced it was placing on the list a 34-year-old man sought in a violent West Coast crime spree. Dallas, the subject of two books on his solitary life in the desert and canyon country of southwestern Idaho and northern Nevada, escaped from the Idaho State Penitentiary on March 30 by cutting through two heavy-gauge chain link fences.

At his trial, Dallas said he shot the two game officers, who came to his remote trapping camp to arrest him for poaching, only after one of the two officers pulled a gun on him. After wounding them, Dallas said he shot both of them in the head at point-blank range to put them out of their misery, as he would have done to a wounded animal. He was serving a 30-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter. The second addition to the list, Billy Ray Waldon, is wanted in the slayings of a 43-year-old woman and her 14-year-old daughter in San Diego, Calif. Their badly burned bodies were discovered on Dec.

7, 1985 after their home had been set ablaze. Autopsies revealed the daughter was killed by the fire and the mother died from a broken neck caused by a bullet. Waldon also is wanted in the rape of a San Diego woman on Dec. 17, 1985, and the robbery of another San Diego woman three days later. Lottery.
