Dan S. and Violet M. Worthington Crane. She was a graduate of Shelbyville High School Class of 1947 and Eastern Illinois University. She was a retired caseworker for Shelby County Community Services and a member of First Christian Church of Shelbyville.

She married Harry G. Davis Jr. July 4, 1948. Surviving are her husband; son, H. Glenn Davis III and wife Lorene of Shelbyville; daughters, Dr.

Victoria M. Davis and husband Arlie Fender of Woodridge; Mary Jane Frost and husband David of Shelbyville; brother, Jean M. Crane and wife Eudo-ra "Sunny" of Blytheville, sisters-in-law, Helen Crane of Champaign; Phyllis Muchow of Broadwell; grandchildren, Brad Davis of Mount Airy, Dr. Rachel Davis of Cary, N.C.; Air Force Captain Chad Davis of Beaver Creek, Ohio; Mindy Davis Oldham of Springfield; Sarah and Emily Frost, both of Shelbyville. Morehead LINCOLN Stephen C. Morehead, 59, of Lincoln died 7:35 p.m. Saturday (May 26, 2001 in his home. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Holland Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Tim Searby officiating.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln, with military rites. Memorials: Police Memorial for the state of Illinois. Mr.

Morehead was born April 24, 1942, in Lincoln, the son of Milo D. and Mary Catherine King Morehead. He served in the Army from 1960 to 1968 in the criminal intelligence division. Throughout his life, he worked in law enforcement. He was the formerretired chief of the jail and detention standard for the Illinois Department of Corrections, working there for 26 years.

Previously, he worked for the Lincoln Police Department, served as deputy for the Logan County Sheriff's office and worked at the Illinois Secretary of State's office in the investigative division. After retirement, he served as a part-time court bailiff and as courthouse security for Logan County. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Mount Pulaski and was very involved with the police memorial for the state of Illinois. He married Mary Rose Hickey McCain May 4, 1971, in Lincoln.

Surviving are his wife; son, Aaron (Sara) McCain of Lincoln; granddaughter, Molly McCain of Lincoln; brothers, Milo D. Morehead of Springfield; Donald K. Morehead of Salem, stepbrothers, Robert Milleville of Springfield; Donald Milleville of St. Peters, Mo. Meal LOUISVILLE John W.

Tuesday. Burial: Fraley Cemetery, DECATUR Richard E. Newtson, 50, of Springfield died Sunday (May 27, 2001) in Memorial Medical Center. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Springfield, with Dr.

Lonnie Lee officiating with visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. A committal service will immediately follow in the Westminster Memorial Garden, Springfield. Remains will be cremated. Holland Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials: Westminster Presbyterian Church Support and Endowment Fund or Kemmerer Village. Mr. Newtson was born Aug. 17, 1950, in Decatur, the son of Evelyn and the late Raymond Newtson. He married Robyn Bock in 1974.

He attended high school at Kemper Military Academy in Boonville, and earned a bachelor of science degree from Culver Stockton College in Canton, Mo. He was employed by A.G. Edwards and Sons for more than 20 years. Mr. Newtson was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, where he had also served as an elder and deacon.

He actively participated in the Springfield Noon Lions Club, Illinois Coal Development Board and the board of directors for Kemmerer Village in Assumption. Surviving are his wife, Robyn; son, Randy of Springfield; daughter, Rachel of Peoria; mother, Evelyn of Springfield; sister, Connie of Decatur; one aunt, one uncle, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was an intern with the City of Decatur Engineering Department. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and an Eagle Scout. He was a 2000 graduate of MacArthur High School and was attending Richland Community College. He is survived by his parents, David and Sharon Hunter of Decatur; brothers, Bryan Hunter and twin brothers, Derek Hunter and Dustin Hunter, all at home; grandparents, Jack Hunter of Florida; Patricia Hunter of Decatur; Eugene and Dorothy Mclntyre of Omaha; aunts and uncles, Mike and Lori Mclntyre of Omaha; Phillip and Amy Stocker of St. Louis; nephews, Alex and Kevin and niece, Katie.

He was preceded in death by one uncle. He was a loving and caring friend and will be missed by many. Robinson DECATUR Donald A. Robinson, 70, of Decatur died 3:52 a.m. Friday (May 25, 2001) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Dawson Wikoff Colonial Chapel North with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Illini Donald Robinson Cemetery, Warrensburg. Memorials: Decatur Memorial Hospital Cardiac Rehab Center.

Mr. Robinson was born Nov. 19, 1930, in Warrensburg, the son of Charles A. and Mabel J. Riddle Robinson.

He was a letter carrier for the U.S. Post Office in Decatur, retiring in 1986. He then worked for Bob Donnelly Automotive as a part-time driver. He was a member of First Christian Church in Decatur and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He married Sue Hawkins Feb.

3, 1952, in Decatur. Surviving are his wife; son, Daniel G. Robinson and friend Nancy Boyette of Bradenton, daughter, Susan R. He was a pipefitter and a member of Local 65 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He was a Navy veteran. Raymond married Penny Murray April 4, 1980. Surviving are his wife; children, Michelle Logue and Lisa Logue and fiancee Derrick Kline, all of Beecher City; mother of Las Vegas, sister, Janet Jones and husband George of Las Vegas; brother, Larry Woehl and wife Jackie of Glendale, grandchildren, Christopher, Kaitlyn and Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his father.

He enjoyed playing on several area fast-pitch softball teams. He married Judy Cross Feb. 5, 1965, in Argenta.
