Hackett was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Bourbon, the daughter of Roy L. and Mary A. Mahoney Jones. She belonged to and was an officer in several organizations throughout her life.

Some of those were: Tuscola Kiwanis Club, Women's Missionary and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a past president of Tuscola Women's Club, Douglas County PTA, Arthur Women's Club and Arthur PTA. She was a current and longtime member of the Bourbon Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school superintendent for many years. She loved to spend time with her family, travel, write poetry, paint and stay in touch with her many friends. She married Wayne J.

Jensen on Dec. 23, 1936. He preceded her in death Sept. 4, 1978. She then married Carl W.

Hackett on Dec. 1, 1979, in Arthur. He preceded her in death Feb. 25, 1989. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Plowman and husband Jack of Milton, Sharon Thompson of Bourbon; grandchildren, Scott (Laura) Plowman of Milton; Tammy (Mike) Morgan of Pace, Kathy (Keith) Gilley of Milton; Beth (Cary) Rahn of Bourbon; Brett (Stephanie) Thompson of Milton; Barbara Thompson of Arthur; John (Carissa) Thompson of Collinsville, Chelle (Chris) Stringfield of Nashville, Aaron Jensen of Washington, D.C.; Chad Jensen of Portland, great-grandchildren, Matthew and Kevin Plowman, John Aaron Castleberry, Jennifer and Steven Morgan, Kirk and Kasandra Gilley, Nicholas (Brynn) Rahn, Courtney Rahn, Michael and Michelle Thompson, Jackson Thompson and Holden Stringfield; great-great-grandson, Marcus; daughter-in-law, Valerie (Jensen) Smith of Albuquerque, N.M.; two special nieces, Mary (Doug) Hortin of Sycamore; Pam (Gary) McDowell of Tuscola; several great-nieces and great-nephews; many devoted friends; and a very special friend, Dr.

Bob Middleton of Tuscola. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Wayne E. Jensen; sister, Mary Margaret Jensen Hance; infant grandson; and nephew, Pete Jensen.
