Saturday, March 11, 2000 CENTRAL ILLINOIS A5 Decatur, Illinois Obituaries Trowbridge Tabor CISCO Martha Gean Tabor, 74, of Cisco died 2:30 p.m. Thursday (March 9, 2000) in her home Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Dawson Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Mon-ticello Township Cemetery.

Memorials: Cisco Fire Department and Rescue or Cerro Gordo Ambulance Mrs. Tabor was born in Decatur on Aug. 15, 1925, the daughter of Isaac E. and M. Margueritte Harrison Williams.

She worked for Taystee Bakery and was a lifelong member of Central Christian Church. She married Jack M. Tabor on June 25, 1949. Surviving are her husband; son, Dwaine J. Tabor and wife Jane of North Street, daughter, Jackie S.

Downey of Monticello; former son-in-law, Michael H. Downey of Monticello; sisters, Maggie Lou Witts and husband David of Ore-ana; Gertrude Cox and husband Howard of Effingham; Edith Logue and husband Floyd of Argenta; sister-in-law, Erma Williams of Decatur; daughter-in-law, Laurel "Crickette" Cripe of Monticello; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Randy T. Tabor; sister, Barbara Williams; and brother, Ivan E. Williams.

Thursday (March 9, 2000) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Private family graveside services will be Saturday in Long Grove Cemetery, rural Macon. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church, Moweaqua. Arrangements are by Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua.

Memorials: First United Methodist Church Elevator Fund, Moweaqua Rotary Club or American Heart Association. Mr. Bohlen was born in Moweaqua on April 6, 1916, the son of Martin P. and Nellie San-ner Bohlen. He received his BS degree from the University of Illinois College of Agriculture.

He taught vocational agriculture in Bowen and Bethany schools. He left teaching to become a farmer in the Moweaqua area. He served as a 4-H leader for more than 25 years, was a past president of Moweaqua School Board, past chairman of the Shelby County Agricultural Extension Council and served on the site selection committee for Richland Community College. He was a past member and board member of First United Methodist Church of Moweaqua and a member of Moweaqua Rotary Club. At the time of his death he was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur.

He married Mamie Virginia Andrews on April 15, 1937. She preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 1979. He married Dorothy Andrews Tichenor on May 14, 1983. Surviving are his wife; children and their spouses, Robert Bohlen of Brighton, Virginia and Leon Miller of Kirkwood, Susan and Jay Bryant of Upper Marlboro, Chris Bohlen and Rosemary Pistorius of Kankakee; Greg and Alice Bohlen of Chapel Hill, N.C.; stepchildren, Lee Tichenor of Moreno Valley, Judi Tichenor Kanelos of Forest Park; brothers, James Albert of Greensboro, N.C.; Wayne of Decatur; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Timothy. Ray and Pearl Hanks Trowbridge, went to be with his Lord Friday (March 10, 2000) in his home in Nampa, Idaho. Services will be in College Church of the Nazarene, Nampa. John was a teacher for 30 years, teaching in the Kenney area and then in Nampa.

He was a member of College Church of the Nazarene, Nampa. He married Margaret Jean Wooley in Decatur in 1953. Surviving are his wife; son, Jeff and wife Debbie; daughters, Jenise Trotter and husband Sam; Jane Lackey and husband Craig; Joy Harris; 12 grandchildren; brother, Bob and wife Dollie of Decatur; five nieces; other relatives in Illinois. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, Don. John will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Irene Wence, 77, of Delavan died 1:15 p.m. Thursday (March 9, 2000) in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Delavan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Arthur Webb and the Rev.

Mrs. Wence was born in Terre Haute, Ind. on July 2, 1922, the daughter of Frederick Herman and Minnie Edith French Lee. She was a former member of the Manito and Forest City Rotary Club, where she was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. She was a member of Delavan United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Home Extension.

She was also site manager for Delavan Senior Meals, was an avid piano player and enjoyed decorating cakes. She married the Rev. Lester Lee Wence in Terre Haute on Aug. 22, 1943. He preceded her in death on Jan.

10, 1993, in Pekin. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Michael (Martha) Donath of Lincoln; son, the Rev. Dr. David (Barbara) Wence of Decatur; grandchildren, Mrs.

She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church, Taylorville. She married Keith Orvel Collins in Shelby County on Dec. 1, 1926. He preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1998.

Surviving are her sons, George and wife Billie of Blue Mound; Donald and wife Joan of Decatur; James and wife Patty of Decatur; Arnold and wife Gwen of Big Springs, Texas; Delmar and wife Carolyn of Oak Ridge, 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren. Before retiring he was in the garbage and trucking business in Decatur for many years. He moved to Mississippi in 1980. His health forced him to slow down in recent years but he still enjoyed his farm and livestock as well as being an all around gypsy. Mr. Hardy died near his home en route from an auction.

He was a member of Foursquare Gospel Church and attended Height Assembly of God Church in Noxapater. He married Joyce D. Tippit in 1946. She preceded him in death Jan. 17, 1994.

He married Lila L. Smith in 1996. She preceded him in death in February 2000. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends in many states. Surviving are his son, Charles Floyd Hardy and wife Barbara of Decatur; grandsons, Charles Hardy II and wife Kristen of Decatur; William Todd Hardy and wife Donna of Decatur; Tim Hardy and wife Kari of Macon, Chad Hardy and fiancee Jenny of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Timothy II, Jessica, Autumn and Zachary; sister, Mrs.

Robert (Virginia) Mixell of Horseshoe Bend, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, son, William Lee Hardy and brothers, Kenneth, Herchel and Edward. Scranton DECATUR Norman F. Scranton, 71, Decatur, died Friday (March 10, 2000). Services: 10 a.m.
