4C 1999 The Deport High School class of 1946 celebrated the 53rd anniversary of their graduation Saturday, May 29, at the Holiday Inn in Paris. Hostesses were Virginia Ingrain Stevens and Prentice Crawford, assisted by their spouses, Shelby Stevens and Jo Crawford. Twenty of the 31 members of the class living attended. The afternoon was spent visiting, reminiscing and taking pic- lures. School colors of maroon and white were used in decorations.

Katy Skidmore Alfred presided at the registry and vice president of the class and master of ceremonies, Charles Nobles, presided and gave the welcome. Jerry Bryson gave the invocation before a buffet style dinner was served. Special guest, Clara Storey Nance, who is the class sponsor, gave brief remarks. Hvans also read a poem in honor of deceased classmates, Donald "Bud" Bell, Palsy Westbrook Linden, Glen Salter, and Floyd Whitney, Siipt. W.T. Hughes, R.L. Maddox, principal, and Parks and husband Gerald; Katy Skidmore Allred, and Kenneth Thomas and wife Linda. Attending from the Dallas-Fort Worth area were Patricia Barnard Farmer and husband, John, Maxine Butler Lee, Prentice Crawford and Virginia Ingram Stevens and husband Shelby, Emogene Jeffrey Lee and husband, J.D., Nona i --I'm, uiiu auvi iiuauiuiu, j.u., iNona Margartha Norrell DeWeese, Kuykendall Overby, Helen Lee teacher.

Also acknowledged was Jeffrey, Fred Skidmore and the death of D.L. Wilson, a 1947 Francis Cheatham Skidmore. Also attending were Jerry Bryson and wife Tommie of Sherman, Geneva Rogers Jenkins and husband Wesley of Emory, and Elizabeth Wright Chargois and husband Bud of Orange. Attending from out-of- state were Mildred Gann Williamson of Sacramento, graduate, who had attended several of the 1946 class reunions. Each member and teacher introduced their spouse and related events since graduated.

A short business meeting was held to discuss the 55-year reunion to be held in 2001. Volunteers to host that reunion will be Patricia Barnard Farmer, Prentice Crawford, Nona Kuykendall Overby and Glenna Bishop Trapp. Fred Skidmore gave the benediction. Graduates and spouses attending from Paris were Helen Billye Hulett Evans and husband Jim Bill of Atlanta, Ga. and Charles Nobles of Edmond, Nina, of Deport, and Clara WiLm Reeder Nance and husband Bfchon Traco Sin i Fa er and Doris Gibson Parks Richard of Paris.

A covered-dish lunch was served and the day was spent reminiscing and looking at photographs and memorabilia brought by class members. Of the 27 original class members, three are deceased. Attending were Joe B. Terry and 'wife, Nelle of Cooper, Betty Coker.

Brandy Wilkinson of Paris, Texas, is proud to announce the arrival of her daughter, Bailey Kay Wilkinson, born Saturday, March 20, 1999 at 7:23 p.m. She weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 21 inches in length.

Mr. and Mrs. Stephens Celebrate Golden Anniversary Clara Moore and Q.B. Stephens were married August 13, 1949 at the Tigertown Methodist Church. The Reverend Raymond Morgan performed the ceremony.

In honor of their fiftieth wedding anniversary, the couple's children and grandchildren will host a reception from 3:00 on Sunday, August 1, 1999 at the Tigertown Community Center.
