Ms. Rivera-Worley said she cannot remember portions of the 12 hours she spent in the water. "I think I blacked out once I was out of the plane, because I was surprised how quickly daylight came." At one point during the night. she fiercely clung to what she thought was a soccer ball she found floating in the water — probably the float from a crab trap.
