Services were held Friday, July 28, 2000, in Cathedral of the Valley Church, Phoenix. Arrangements by: J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home. Ramona was born Oct. 30, 1939, in Decatur, the daughter of Robert and Evelyn King Matthews.

She had worked in food services in Phoenix since 1967. Mr. Clark was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Arthur, the son of George and Helen Behn Clark. He owned and operated G.A. Clark Construction Co.

and worked 13 years for Decatui Housing Authority. Mr. Clark was a Marine veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the 32nd Degree Masons, Loyal Order of Moose and Elks Club. He married Erma Dipper Feb.

24, 1967. Surviving are his wife; daughter, Cathy Clark of Decatur; sons, Gregory and wife Debbie of Fairfax, Brian and wife Gail of Oakley; Brett of Decatur; and Bradley and Lauri of Decatur; grandchildren, Andrew, Emilie, Austin, Lucas, Olivia, Mason and Madeline; stepdaughters, Christina Collier of Morton; Suzan Boyd Sellers of Colum bia, S.C.; and Rebecca Boyd Florence of St. Charles, stepgrandsons, Michael Burns and Adam Sellers; sisters, Barbara Finch of Decatur; Betty Hayes of California. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Hayward DECATUR Marilyn A. Hayward, 70, of Decatur died 1:50 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) in Northwestern Hospital, Chicago. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m.

Thursday in Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery. Memorials: Friends of St. Mary's Hospital or Holy Family Catholic Church.

Marilyn was born Dec. 31, 1929, in New York, N.Y., the daughter of Joseph and Josephine Capizutto Cusick. Marilyn was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She married Robert Hayward Sept. 12, 1953, in New York, N.Y.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Robert J. Hayward III and wife Diane of Rockford; Thomas G. Hayward and wife Maureen of Apple Valley, daughter, Donna Pinkston and husband Michael of Decatur; grandchildren, Robert J. IV, William, Anthony and Jacob Hayward, Katherine and John Britton, Brandon Pinkston, and Nicole and Samantha Hayward; stepmother, Anna Cusick. She was preceded in death by her parents and half brother, Robert Cusick.

Ritchie DECATUR Elizabeth Ritchie, 80, of Eau Claire, formerly of Decatur, passed away Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) in Clairemont Nursing Home, Eau Claire. Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Fuller-Speckien Funeral Home, Eau Claire, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and one hour before services.

Mrs. Ritchie was a former resident of Decatur and Lake Geneva, Wis. She moved to Eau Claire in 1995 and resided with her son, Ron, until she moved into the Clairemonl Nursing Home. Surviving are her children, Ronald (Marcia) of Eau Claire; John and Robert, both of Decatur; grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew and Jeremy Ritchie and Karri (Geoff) Bit-ner; great-grandchildren, Erne, Kate, Ryan and Luke. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, and son, Raymond.

Elizabeth was a noble lady with great character who deeply loved her family and thoroughly loved her dogs and cats. She will be greatly missed by her family. Robinson DECATUR Derek H. Robinson, 39, Ahoskie, K.C., formerly of Decatur, pipefitter, Systems Contracting, North Carolina, died Wednesday (Aug. 2, 2000).

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home. No visitation. Burial: North Fork Cemetery.

HSU Alcorn DECATUR Merle D. Alcorn, 71, of Decatur died 10:45 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 6, 2000) in his residence. Private burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in J.J. Moran Sons Funeral Home. Memorials: Merle Alcorn Decatur Memorial Hospital Hospice. Merle was born May 10, 1929, in Chicago, the son of John and Cleo Musser Alcorn.

He retired after 33 years with A.E. Staley Mfg. where he was a foreman. Mr. Alcorn was an Air Force veteran.

He married Joan Krajefska in 1950. Surviving are his wife; brother, Gene Alcorn and fiancee Florene Woolard; sister, Vivian Alcorn of Decatur; son-in-law, Michael Phegley of Breckenridge, grandson, Bruce Phegley of Breckenridge; brother-in-law, Ralph Krajefska and wife Elizabeth of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Barbara Carino of Florida; brother-in-law, Stanley Krajefska of Decatur; uncle, Fred Oak of Springfield. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane, one bother-in-law and one aunt. Deberry DECATUR James Otis Deberry, 51, of Decatur died 10:20 a.m. Thursday (Aug.

3, 2000) in his residence. Services will be noon Friday in the Church of the Living God PGT Temple 1 with visitation two hours before services in the church. James Deberry Burial will be in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Brownsville, Tenn. Walker Funeral Service and Chapel is in charge of arrangements. James was born Sept.

13, 1948, in Brownsville, to the union of Lee and Savannah Bond Deberry. James was a good man to his family and his friend. He was self-employed at Auto Plus Service. He leaves not to mourn but to cherish his fond memories, his mother; daughters, Ruby (Phillip) Wilder, Lisa Hunt, Erica Deberry and Savannah Deberry, all of Decatur; sons, Maurice and Tanate Davis, both of Decatur; Victor Evans of Springfield and Louie Deberry of Decatur; brother, L.D. She was a member of South Shores Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary. She was a secretary for the Illinois Department of Veteran Affairs and worked for the Bureau of Yards and Docks in Washington, D.C. She married Robert Eugene Dial. He preceded her in death. She married William C.

Storey. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother, Jeanette Dawson of Decatur; sons, Richard (Nancy) Dial of Gulf port, Martin (Sharon) Dial of Lizton, stepchildren, Pat (Fred) Dixon of Decatur; Mike (Kay) Storey of Dalton City; sisters, Phyllis (Russell) Fritz of Decatur; Sandy (Ed) Stone-breaker of Longview, brothers, Bill (Rita) Lawyer of Decatur; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
