Dodimead reported purchase of the pictures when the chapter met at her home Promontory L. M. Merrick left last Monday for Pitt Lake where he has found employment. Mr. and Mrs.

M. Merrick and son, F. Misner, Robert, Claud, Jack and Allan Lefferson, Allan Misner. Residents of Promontory reported seeing a white crow on the hill last week. Re-bekahs Hold Past Noble Grands' Night Miss Mildred Kines and Miss Margaret Tranmer were joint conveners of the entertainment, when Ruth Rebekah lodge met Thursday night.

Past Noble Grands' night provided the theme of the program enjoyed by the lodge members. The business meeting included a report from Mrs. M. Goriak, showing that Rebekah members had collected over $90 for the CNIB, and a report from Mrs. E.

Mills on the September meeting of the local council. Mrs. J. Ferguson will represent the lodge at a meeting of the Canadian Arthritic and Rheumatic society. Sewing meeting will be -held at the home of Mrs.

Fred Dahlstrom, while Mrs. William Orr will be hostess to the Past Noble Grands at their next meeting. Miss Winnifred Davidson of Vancouver as bridesmaid, were attired in identical gowns which featured strapless bodices topped with jackets of brocaded satin, and with bouffant skirts of nylon net posed over taffeta. Miss Peacock was in blue, and Miss Davidson, in pink. Their chapel veils of net were caught by bandeaux of tiny flowers to match their gowns, and their bouquets were showers of white and pink carnations tied with rainbow ribbon.

The bride's godchild, Linda Barnes, and Georgia Brown, were the winsome flower girls, wearing a Chilliwack polio victim. A letter of thanks from Court Registrar Ernest Anderson was read for the gift of the Queen's picture to be hung in the Court House. Mrs. II. P.

Beldam, who returned recently from a trip to England, gave members a sketch of her visit there. Mrs. P. J. Keoughan, regent, who recently attended the semiannual convention at Vernon reported on proceedings.

Mrs. George Morris represented the chapter at the meeting of the Canadian Arthritic and Rheumatic society. Before an altar, banked with autumn flowers and foliage, the Rev. A. Little performed the rites which united the only daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Clifford McNair of Sardis, and the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W.

Hannaford of Elmsdale, Nova Scotia. Preceding the marriage ceremony, a simple but impressive candle-lighting ceremony was performed by Margaret and Marion Read who were dressed in identically styled pastel-toned frocks; while quiet music was played throughout the service by the organist. W. G. Newby sang "I'll Walk Beside You." Given in marriage by her father, the bride was lovely in her regal gown of rich ivory satin. The closely molded bodice was fashioned with sheer net yoke, giving an off-shoulder effect outlined with alencon lace. Lace bordered the slightly extended waistline, and also formed the front panel of the skirt, while the back fullness flowed into a train.

The bride's fingertip veil of illusion net misted from a shell-shaped cap of ivory satin, and she carried a bouquet of red roses, white carnations and white heather. She wore her groom's gift, a gar net pendant. The bridal attendants. Gustav Tyfting was united in marriage with Garth Walters of Hope. Rev. Canon H. C. B.

Gibson officiated at the eve ning ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride was gowned in nylon net over taffeta. Her veil was shoulder length and she carried a white prayer book mounted with a spray of mauve orchids. As matron of honor, Mrs." Beverley Michaloski chose a mauve net gown. She carried a bouquet of matching carnations.

Bridesmaids were Miss June Tyfting, twin sister, and Miss Joy Tyfting, sister of the bride, and Miss Frances Walters, sister of the groom. They were gowned in pastel tones of yellow, yellow and white, and blue. All wore white flowers in their hair and carried match ing bouquets of pink and white carnations. Best man was Gilbert Walters, cousin of the groom. Howard Whelpton and Ray Abbey were ushers.

George Cousins. Kamloops, proposed a toast to the bride at the reception which followed at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Walters left on a honeymoon trip to Penticton.

Betty Mercer as organist. Mr. Kines sang "Wedding before the service. Mrs. Kines sang "Because" during the signing of the register.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a simply styled gown of white bengaline over which a delicate hand-made veil fell to a train. Held by a coronet encrusted with pearls, the veil was embroidered in lover's knots and hearts entwined. Her gown was fashioned with fitted sleeves and bodice with a slight bustle effect to the bouffant skirt. Talisman roses and stcphanotis were combined in the bride's cascade bouquet. The groom's sister, Miss Shirley Jacks, attended the bride as senior bridesmaid, while Miss Nancy Symmes, cousin of the bride was junior bridesmaid.

Both wore autumn-toned gowns, Miss Jacks in copper and Miss Symmes in yellow. In their cascade bouquets were bronze and yellow mums. Betty-Lou Shurvell was the petite flower girl in a toe-touching frock of white taffeta. A bandeau of tiny flowers adorned her dark tresses. She carried a colonel nosegay of yellow and white baby mums.

Victor Cue, West Vancouver, was groomsman. Ushers were Kenneth Bradley, New Westminster, brother-in-law of the bride, and Norman Broadhead, West Vancouver. Parents of the bride and groom assisted the bridal party in receiving the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. N.

G. McKcnzie and Mrs. D. B. Montgomery presided at the tea table centered by a crystal bowl of pink and white carnations flanked by tall pink tapers in crystal holders.
