Six applications were received at the last meeting of the camp and nine the- week before, all of which will be initiated at the reception to Head Consul Boak on Wednesday evening. November 29th. This will be one of the big demonstrations in Woodmen circles ever held In the city of Oakland, all the camps of the city taking part, the head consul administering the obligation to at least 150 candidates. Athens Camp This camp will furnish at least twenty candidates for the big initiation when the head consul visits Oaklajad in November. The members of the camp are actively at work under the leadership of Neighbors Taft, Sinclair and Rogers.

Cypress Camp The special visiting committee of this camp will again visit the several camps outside of Oakland to prepare for the great Boak reception to be held In Hayward December 3d. A large number of members and several visiting members were present. Two elected candidates were initiated and knighted as members of the order. A. Freeman, who has been dangerously ill at his home in Fruitvale, Is somewhat better. His trouble was typhoid-pneumonia, and for a time It looked as though he would not recover. The Oriental degree was conferred In Fraternal Hall last Thursday evening by Pacific degree team, which has been invited to visit Richmond, where about one hundred pilgrims await their coming. 6. Several of the members of Oakland Court, No. 6, paid the West Oakland Court a visit last Friday evening and received a hearty welcome. Last Monday evening the State organizer gave Court No. 6 an Interesting talk.
